School SMART Goal:

Impact Goals: By June, 2017, MPES will increase the percentage of students in grades 3 – 5 who are proficient in Reading from 63.4% to 66% as measured by the NC Reading EOG and in grades K – 2 who are proficient in Reading from 54.5% to 58% as measured by the Reading 3D TRC Benchmark Assessment percent proficient. By June, 2017, MPES will increase the percentage of students in grades 3 – 5 who are proficient in Math from 62.4% to 65% as measured by the NC Math EOG Fidelity Goal: By June 2017, Math classrooms will meet the following benchmark based on the CCS Classroom Walkthrough Instrument: students generate hypotheses as they problem solve and investigate – marked at least 50% of the time on CWT.

Mt. Pleasant Elementary School will increase the percentage of referred students who qualify for Exceptional

Children’s services from 64% to 70% by developing a clear and cohesive step-by-step process that includes

identifying student needs, selecting targeted research-based interventions, monitoring progress, and knowing

when to refer to the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) team.

Fidelity Goal:

By June 2017, MPES Tier II paperwork will meet the following benchmark based on two random samplings

of Tier II paperwork (one folder randomly chosen from each regular classroom teacher in November and

again in March): 75% of Tier II folders will have research-based interventions with supporting progress

monitoring documentation. Tier II folders will be assessed by MPES MTSS leadership.
