Take the following actions to see how much water you can spare each day. Get an auto shut-off nozzle for your hose Spare 20-25 gallons/day Repair leaks and broken sprinkler heads Water your yard before 10 a.m. or after 6 p.m. Use a broom instead of water to clean driveways/sidewalks Adjust sprinklers to prevent overspray and runoff Small water conservation efforts can add up to BIG savings! 400 gallons/day Reduce each irrigation cycle by 1-3 minutes Spare 8-18 gallons/minute Spare 20 gallons/day per leak Spare 10-25 gallons/minute, up to 250 gallons/cycle Spare 8-18 gallons/minute Spare 15-25 gallons/day 15min HI Reduce outdoor watering during fall and winter months to one day per week (Saturday or Sunday).
