Once upon a time in a Russian village lived an old peasant. He had three sons. The two el-der sons were clever, but the youngest was a fool named Ivanushka. The family had a wheat field. One day they noticed that at night something had come into the field and trampled the wheat. The old peasant sent his sons to guard the field.

On the first night the eldest son went to the field, but did not try hard enough to stay awake and fell asleep. On the second night the middle son went to the field, but he too fell asleep and did not see anything. On the third night Ivanushka went there. At midnight he saw a great chestnut-gray stal-lion wearing a gold saddle and a silver bridle. The stallion started to eat and trampled the wheat. Iva-nushka managed to catch the wonderful horse. The stallion said, “Let me go free, I will be your friend. If you need something, go to the field, whistle and say, “Sivka-Burka, appear here!” I will come and help you.” Ivanushka agreed and let him go free. It happened about that time that the tsar, who had no son,

organized a contest to de-termine who would succeed him as tsar. He placed his beautiful daughter on the top floor of a very tall tow-er and announced that the man who could reach the princess jumping on a horse and could take the ring from her finger would win her hand in marriage and rule the land. The older brothers decided to go to the compe-tition, but Ivanushka stayed home.

When his brothers left, he whistled and called Siv-ka-Burka, who rose thun-dering out of the ground. Ivanushka climbed in his right ear and climbed out of the left ear a very hand-some, well-dressed young man. Then he rode to the competition to try his luck. Sivka jumped trying to reach the princess. Ivan was very close to her, but couldn’t quite reach the ring. He quickly turned the horse and galloped home. There he turned back into his previ-ous self. When his brothers came from the tsar’s court-yard they told Ivanushka about the handsome man who almost reached the princess. Ivanushka only laughed at them.

The next day the same thing happened. On the third day,

Ivanushka and Sivka-Bur-ka reached the princess and took the ring from her finger. Then they galloped away so quickly that no-body could even see Iva-nushka’s face. At home he turned back into his previous self but he had one hand in a band-age. His brothers asked him, “What is wrong with your hand?” He laughed and said, “Nothing seri-ous, just a scratch.” Three days later, the tsar invited everyone to a feast. The old peasant came with his three sons. They sat at the table ate, drank and had fun. At the end of the feast the tsar’s daugh-ter herself served honey to the guests. When she ap-proached Ivanushka, she noticed the bandage on his hand and asked him, “Good young man, why do have a bandage on your hand? Let me look at it!” And there everyone saw the ring on his finger. The princess said, “Dear father, here is my fiance!” Ivanushka called Siv-ka-Burka, turned into the handsome man and mar-ried the princess.

And they lived long and happily, and died together on the same day.

TOP-5 Eternal machines - legendcars of the USSR

Let’s recall the top 5 most popular Soviet car, many of which are still alive, and even actively exploited. Al-though today they are older than 30 years !

1.This “old-timers” from Izhevsk first went on the road in 1967. For its time it was quite unpretentious and reliable. It was based on the design, developed in the late 50s.

Before the advent of “Zhiguli” - “Moskvich” was called “the people’s car”. Not least of all, this was due to the price. So, in the mid 70-ies of the last century, a brand new Moskvich-412 cost 7,5-7,8 thousand Rub., Depending on the region.

It is noteworthy that the model of Moskvitch 2140, which actually was a re-styled version of the 412, cost much cheaper - 6.8 thousand. Rub. It is caused by an outdated concept and ideology of the ma-chine. Despite this, the Moskvich-412 was pro-duced in Izhevsk until 2001.

2.GAZ-24 was one of the most expensive cars of its timeThe first series of the car saw the light in 1968. Cars that time did not have fangs on the front bumper and the license plate was placed un-derneath. The second gen-eration was issued in 1976 and obtained significant de-sign changes.

The model was produced until 1992. In 24 years of production, the production lines of the Gorky Automo-bile Plant descended 1.4 million. Cars of this brand. In the mid-70s for a brand new GAZ-24 had to pay about 9.5 thousand. Rub.

The people called the car “barge”. This is due to the huge size and low maneu-verability. But the owners of these cars joked allegedly in such dimensions and such a strong body - it is not their problem. At that time the cruiser was as popular in the taxi as Lanos today.

Though the production of Volga stopped today, in-terest in them has not died away. Direct proof of - the emergence of Volga Road-ster.

3.VAZ-2101

“Kopeika” won the USSR la-da-auto.ruIn 1970, there was a car that radically changed the future not only of the Soviet car in-dustry, but as it turned out, and the current one.

VAZ-2101 (in common - a penny) - left the assembly line in 1970, all by launch-ing mass production of cars in the USSR. Not only does this car stamped at the fac-tory in Tolyatti 18 years (until 1988), so still and releases the first time under the strict control of Italians.

For all time it was created 4.8 million. units. For many Soviet motorists this car is the first and inherited to the grandchildren to this day.

Despite a number of short-comings and obsolescence, at the time of its introduc-tion, the VAZ-2101 was the best Soviet car in its class. At the same time, it was one of the most affordable cars - its value at the time of the appearance was not more than 5.5 thousand. Rub.

4.ZAZ-968

“Long-eared Zaporozhets”, as it was called by people suffered from several restyl-ing.

This “big-eared Zapor-ozhets” was produced from 1971 to 1994. It features a rear-layout engine into a single unit with the trans-mission as well as a heater that worked regardless of the driver’s wishes for a whole year.

For all time it was released a few modifications to the vehicle, which were distin-guished by different panels of devices, various forms of headlights, as well as minor changes of power and the construction of the power plant.

Given the extremely low cost (3.5 thousand. Rub.) - This machine, the Soviet government handed in to disabled (Moskvich-412 were given for special ser-vices).

5.VAZ-2106

“The Six”, as it was called by people is probably the most successful model of AvtoVAZ. Its production be-gan in 1976 and lasted for 30 uninterrupted years, un-til 2006. “The Six” has the most powerful engine in its class that allows to disperse cars up to 152 km / h.

For all the time it was re-leased eight versions of the car, some of which were ex-ported, and was equipped with right-hand drive.

On account of 2106 are a lot of merit . So, this is the last Russian car with head light system and last “Zhiguli”, which is equipped with vents and wheel trims. In turn, this is the first Soviet car taillights unit of which combines turn signals, brake lights, dimen-sions, reversing lamps and reflectors.

According to the price list 1979, VAZ-2106 was worth 9.6 thousand Rub.
