Vintage-car night rally “Moscow Lights”In the capital will be held a night rally titled “Lights of Moscow”. This bright event will be attended by more than twenty participating teams with their beautiful vintage cars.

Veterans of the Roads will show their vintage cars. This won’t be easy for par-ticipants but definitely very spectacular and emotional for the visitors.

Last year, this event has al-ready been held in the cap-ital. Viewers witnessed the Rolls-Royce from the 1960th that appeared in “Catch Me If You Can” and many other interesting models.

The parade of bikersThe spring signals that the season for Bikers is begin-ning. This year the season opening will start by a big bikers’ parade. A three-me-ter long motorbike-line will pass through the central streets of Moscow.

After a trip through the main thoroughfares of the capital bikers all together with the audience will go to the big festival, where you can not only touch and take pictures with shiny motorcycles, but also look at the stand riders performance.

Each year, this event is at-tended by a thousand of bik-ers and as it has already be-come a tradition - the oldest motor club of the country - “Night Wolves” will open the parade.

Alfred Eisenstaedt - The father of photo-journalism

Alfred Eisenstaedt is an art classic of the last century; he changed the idea of se-quential shooting and had a huge impact on the world of photojournalism.

His name is inextricably linked with the history of the American weekly newspa-per “Life”, where Eisenstadt was the leading photogra-pher since the opening of the magazine in 1936.

During the decades of con-tinuous cooperation with the publication of authorship Eisenstadt owns about 90 covers religious publications and published thousands of photos in it.

A significant part of the artis-tic heritage of the photogra-pher - Portrait Gallery of Bohemia, known represent-atives of science and poli-tics. Among them - the icon-ic images of Marilyn Monroe, Sophia Loren, Salvador Dali and Gala, Albert Einstein, Katharine Hepburn, TS Eli-ot, Ernest Hemingway, John F. Kennedy, and many oth-ers. Made Eisenstadt Photo “Day of Victory over Japan in Times Square” (1945) was also first published in “Life” and later became one of the seminal works in the history of photojournalism, combin-ing documentary and fiction.

The exhibition “Alfred Ei-senstaedt. Father of Photo-journalism “will feature more than 50 pictures formed by his unique style during his work in the “Life”.

The exhibition will include the first picture sold by Ei-senstadt “Girl playing ten-nis” (1927), a textbook pic-tures of the pre-war period - “The meeting of Hitler and Mussolini” (1934) and a por-trait of Joseph Goebbels (1933), as well as later works of the late 1970s.

Follow me – is a cult pho-to-performance that con-quered the world with his idea and a new approach to visual perception of pho-tography.

The basis of the project are the photos that Murad made while travelling around the world with his girlfriend, Natalie. This photo project demonstrates how beauti-ful the world is in the eyes of the photographer, and all this beauty he sees thanks to his girlfriend, which leads him along, thus inviting us to visit beautiful and exotic places around the world.And the whole world is watching this story of love, travel and beauty of our planet, which they show by means of their photos.


These pictures have gained massive popularity on the social networks with stars and people from around the world keenly following into the photographer’s foot-steps.

The Cirque du Soleil is coming back to Moscow.

Cirque du Soleil is an whimsical and visually

stunning show that transfers audiences into a fantastical world of wonderment and awe with the use stunning acrobatics surrounded by air, fire and, most prominently,

water.


Quidam show by Cirque du SoleilCirque du Soleil is proud to announce a new Russian tour, in which in 2015 the company will present the show Quidam. Tours of the show will be held from 16 to 26 April in the DS “Luzhni-ki”.

Show Quidam (“someone” in Latin), which premiered in Montreal under its own large dome in 1996, after 14 years of touring took on new life in the format of are-na shows and will be the 10 show by the Canadian company to be performed for Russian fans.

Residents and guests of St. Petersburg are well-ac-quainted with the work of Cirque du Soleil: at various times they have already had the opportunity to see five productions by a Canadian company, and show iD by Cirque Eloize, creative part-ner of Cirque du Soleil.

Unlike the other shows by Cirque du Soleil, that take the audience into the in-tricate and fancy worlds, Quidam will talk about the real world, inhabited by or-dinary people with their dai-ly concerns.



The show explores the themes of loneliness inevi-table in the crowd and the indifference of others, some of which may even be very close friends.

Little Zoe is borred. Her parents, alienated and im-mersed in apathy, forgot about here existence. Her life has lost all meaning. In an effort to fill the void, she escapes into an imaginary world - a world without a name; a world full of un-certainty; world of Quidam, where she meets charac-ters awakens in her will for freedom - an elusive target; aggressive Boom Boom, whose soul refuses to leave the body; John, in which there is something of a TV star, but something - from a teacher; Aviator, who has wings, but he cannot fly, and many others.

World Quidam, where Zoe finds herself in, is a space of dreams, where each “no” - a nameless passer-by, a soli-tary figure on the street cor-ner, a man from the crowd - can express themselves, to become someone, to find a name. Music, passionate and charming, highlights the main reasons the show, and a child’s voice sounds fragile along with power-ful male vocals creating an unexpected combination of tenderness and strength, only increasing the overall state of tension and the de-sire to break out of the silent majority.

In an effort to recreate the public through space - sta-tion or airport - stenogra-phy made dominant scene colossal arch. Changes in lighting - saturation point and the angle of illumina-tion - to radically change the mood emanating from the stage, from comedy to tragedy. Revolving stage symbolizes the variability and unpredictability of life.

The show involves 45 ac-robats, musicians, singers and actors from all over the globe.

1.KefirThe healthy Russian drink. Kefir is a fermented milk drink made with kefir grains and is believed to have its origins in the Caucasus Mountains.

It tastes like an unswetened Greek yoghurt, so delicious when it’s cold.

Kefir is very good for health; you can drink it adding to it some fruit, cereals or choc-olate.

There are some variations of Okroshka and Borsh with the use of Kefir.

2.Freshly salted cucumbersIt’s a must on all the Russian tables and goes perfectly with any dish- as a separate appetitive or in salads.

As a plus the brine from cucumber is good for the health.

The cucumbers are possible to find in Supermarkets and markets (usually sold by kg) or to find the brine ingredi-ents and do it by yourself(really simple).


3.KvasKvas – is an old Slavic drink, made from fermented bread.

The first mention about Kvas was made in the 10th centu-ry, but nobody knows who and when invented it, some historian say that the drink was made by accident.

Notably, it was invented be-fore the beer.

Nowadays, Kvas is the Spring and Summer drink.

The kvas is the base of cold soups (like Okroshka) and is a great drink when the weather is hot.

You can find Kvas in super markets in two versions, the contemporary one (квасной напиток) or the true natural kvas (квас).

Or you can buy dry Kvas and make it at home to get a real natural home-made product.

4.GretchkaGrechka is the ubiquitous buckwheat porridge that in Russia could be served not only for breakfast but also as a side dish for lunch or dinner.

5. SushkiSushki look like mini-dough-nuts, but have nothing in common with dougnuts ex-cept the shape.

Sushki is a traditional Rus-sian tea bread.

It is a small, crunchy, mildly sweet bread ring which can be eaten for dessert.

Sushki are made from dough that has been boiled before baking.
