MORTON FEAST WEEK-END Enjoyed wonderful sunshine with stalls and games interspersed with musical interludes from the school. At the same time five-a-side football competitions and tug of war were competed for on the field. On Sunday there was a celebration Family Service with attendance representing local council, village hall uniformed organisations and school parents. Teacher Chris Smithson and a trio of musicians and singer accompanied the modern hymns. Two songs from the recent I Sing Pop concert were sung by six younger members of the school choir whose enthusiastic voices could be heard throughout the church. Everyone then joined in. A stone given to everyone on entry was built into a cairn to mark the celebration. A big thank you to Terry Cater for the electrical work and staff and children of Morton Trentside.
