1. Award and construction of National Highways: The Ministry hasconstructed 6207 km of Nationa[ Highways upto November 2020 ascompared to 595g km in November, ?019. The award figure is 6764 kmduring this period as compared to 3211 km in the previous year.

2. lnauguration and laying of foundation stones in Uttar pradesh: ShriNitin Gadkari, Hon,bte Minister for Road Transport & Highways and MSMEsinaugurated and laid the foundation stones of 16 Nationat Highways projects witha totat tength of over 500 kms worth Rs. 7417 crores in Uthr pradesh on26.11.2020. The project inctudes widening to 4-tanes from Meerut toButandhshahar of NH-235. Rehabilitation & Up-gradation of NH_76 from Mau toJasra in djstricts of Chitrakoot & prayagraj, Rehabititation & Up-gradation of NH-730 from Bahraich to shrawasti in districts of Bahrach & shrawasti, strengtheningof NH-75E in the district of Sonebhadra from Mp/Up border to Up/Jharkhandborder and Construction of 6-[ane bridge parattet to the existing bridge on Gangariver on NH-96 in phaphamau in district of prayagraj.

3' Co',aboration with Academic rnstitutions: MoRT&H has estabrishedMoRT&H Chair professor in

'T Roorkee and has approved MoRT&H chair professor

at llT BHU, Varanasi to promote apptication based research for use of newmateriat/technotogy in highway projects, advise rndian Roads congress in R&Dactivities and formutation of standards & guidetines. NHA, under the Ministry hasencouraged reputed Technicat lnstitutes and Engineering co[eges to adoptnearby stretches of Nationat Highways. The expertise of these institutions witt beutitized by NHAI in better planning and execution of the devetopment projects onthese NH stretches. .lg llTs, 26 NlTs and 190 other Engineereing colteges haveagreed to cottaborate.

4. Promotion of Digital and lT based payment of fees through FASTag:MoRTH has notified that FASTag witt be made mandatory for otd vehictes witheffect from 01.01 .ZOZ1 white it was required for att new 4 wheeters since 2017.It is atso new mandated rhat from 1st April, ZOZ , a vatid FASTag is required forgetting 3'd party lnsurance cover.

5. Registration process of the Vintage Motor Vehicles: At present thereare no rutes for regutating the registration of vintage motor vehictes vatue. TheMinistry has pubtished draft notification on 25.11.2020 seeking comments andsuggestion on the guidetines for registration of Vintage A.10tor vehicles.6. Nominee in Registration Certificate: The Ministry has pubtished draftnotification on 26.11 .ZOZO

Common format of pUC Certificate: To give effecr to the suggestionreceived from MHA on tinking Mobite Numbers with pottution under Controlcerrificate (pucc)' Ministry has pubtished notification on 27.11.2020 seekingcomments and suggestion of alt stakehotders on common format of pUCCertificate across the country under CMVR ,l9g9.

8' Motor vehicre Aggregators Guiderines-2020: rn pursuance of the provisionunder Section 93 of Motor

vehicre Agsregat", G,,d",,":::'2'0"20oilirii;.:iJrl'"il'IiT,li:.":ii:l],T;framework for State Governments for issuance of ticences to transportaggregators and regutating the business conducted by such aggregators in a fairand transparent manner. These guidetines intend to protect the interests ofcommuters mainty, by regutating the surge charges, ensure safety of thecustomers especiatty the women and the girt chitd by prescribing Gps basedvehicte location tracking & panic button, Z4x7 call centre by the aggregator andprocedures for proper verification of drivers.

9. Revision in Model Concession Agreement: SeveraI improvements to theModel Concession Agreement of Hybrid Annuity Mode (HA,t) have been notifiedon 10.11.2020. The changes are related to Earty Exit Option for devetopers,Shifting of Utitities, Maintenance during Construction period, Financiat Ctose,Payment and Dispute Resotution etc. These changes wilt remove the anomaties.mitigate risk for devetopers and hetp reduce titigation.

10. Standing Finance Committee (SFC) meetings: ln the month ofNovember, 2020, 6 projects of tength 258.19 Km and totat capitat cost of Rs.5305.13 Cr. were appraised by SFC and recommended for approvat.
