Angel Tree

Every year we partner with the Salvation Army and make available to you an Angel Tree with angel tags on it representing little children whose Christmas could be made a little brighter. One of these angels can be taken by an individual, a family, a Sunday School Class or a mission group. We took 10 angels this year. The Salvation Army is suggesting that you purchase new clothing and 2 or more toys and are requesting that you not purchase electronic equipment such as PlayStation or X-Box. Each child’s wish list is on the card. [It is very important that you sign up on the sheet provided listing your name and the name and code assigned to the angel you select.] In the event the wish list of the angel that you select includes a bike, the Salvation Army does not want an individual to feel obligated to fulfill the child’s wish due to the expense of the item. Do not wrap the gifts. The Salvation Army provides a large plastic bag for your convenience. Tape the “angel tree tag” to the outside of the bag. If you have multiple bags or items, make a copy of the tag to attach to each bag or item. The gifts must be taken to the drop-off location at First Presbyterian Church by Wednesday, December 7th. We will be setting up our Angel Tree this month and we will notify you when we need the angel gifts back to the church.
