Using storytelling, mixtapes, trainers and lo-fi beats, Lost Boy Sketches explores what it means to “grow up” through the diary scribblings of characters Robin and Blake.
FATLiPBMYTHICAL are a bunch of writers, composers and producers who met whilst travelling around Europe. Bonding over a love of bad TV, Belgian Beer and the nineties, they showcase unheard stories from unusual voices in unsuspecting places.
Sandman is a solo performance inspired by E.T.A. Hoffmann’s gothic horror story ‘The Sandman’. Expressive physicality, the use of objects and puppetry, the collapse of time and narrative structure and the performer’s intimate and direct relationship with the audience immerse you in an unnerving and thrilling nightmare world.
A collaboration between Adie Mueller (performer) and Mike Carter (playwright/director), with design by Dawn Hesketh-Joslin.
A piece about being in your mid-twenties and lacking the skills or emotional willpower to cope with reality. When you depend on double bills of Gilmore Girls to ease the pain of yet another job rejection email, you begin to think, “if only this were a Broadway musical...”
Chris Sav is an artist and writer whose work takes the form of illustration, video and performance. He does a weekly comic for the men’s mental health website CALM, and performs a comedy music act about food and existential crises.

PURPLEGIBBONAn Unhealthy Obsession
WWW.PURPLEGIBBON.COMTWEET @PURPLEGIBBONS
A playful performance about unhealthy obsessions. Like, those obsessions over Crunchy Nut, boiled eggs and Singin’ In The Rain. Not that there’s anything wrong with obsession, but you might get caught up in it...
PurpleGibbon are an emerging theatre company created in 2013. Founding members Josh Hampton and Charlotte Newell graduated in 2014 after training in Contemporary Theatre and Performance at Manchester Metropolitan University. PurpleGibbon aim to devise theatre that is playful, thoughtful and focuses on involving the audience in unusual ways.
Stillness, noise and lipstick converge in the space between public and private. What happens when we cross the threshold?
Beautiful Confusion makes actor-driven theatre in an international context. Current projects include BackStories (Resolution!2015). Artistic director Becka McFadden makes, studies and teaches theatre and performance. As a director, devisor and performer, she works on physical theatre, new European writing in translation and community projects.
Beginning with a story structure inherent in Franz Kafka’s ‘The Trial’ but common to many works of literature, we are exploring that structure within a contemporary idiom.
A collaboration between staff, current students and graduates, led by Des Truscott, exploring and extending the principles of collaborative theatre and performance making activities that have been a hallmark of the Theatre Arts programmes here at Middlesex for many years.
