The Terrace Restaurant

Experience something exceptional; exquisite cuisine, flawless service and traditional elegance at its finest at the only Michelin star restaurant in the New Forest.

Standing strongly behind the hotel’s Green Policy, The Terrace and Michelin star Head Chef Matthew Tomkinson sources local, organic fare, and seasonal produce wherever possible, as well as handpicking ingredients from the Hotel’s very own kitchen garden, abundant in home-grown herbs, seasonal vegetables like the garden beetroot and even a brood of hens for the freshest eggs.

Discover the quaint and welcoming Monty’s Inn. Boasting a relaxed and warm atmosphere where you can enjoy delicious home made food and fine local Ale.

Sample deliciously rustic country fare and classic English favourites, including the best Ploughman’s in Hampshire, made with the finest local cheeses. We also serve a range of beverages, from award winning hand-pulled Ringwood ales to fine wines and soft drinks.

Signature dish: Monty’s Beef Burger with Stilton Rarebit, Tomatoes, Gherkins, Baby Gem lettuce and Smoked Bacon, Served with Fries and our own Burger Sauce

Oakwood room

Situated on the ground floor overlooking the private landscaped gardens, the Oakwood Room is an attractive wood panelled meeting room with an open fireplace. Raised flooring at the end of the room provides an ideal area for presentations. The room also benefits from natural daylight and garden views as well as allowing direct access to the book lined Library Bar and decked area of the garden with an ancient and magnificent Magnolia Tree providing a shady bower. The Oakwood Room also the ideal setting for a private dinner for up to 32 guests.

The Paris Room is an intimate, traditionally styled boardroom with a large bay window, offering plenty of natural daylight as well as a unique ornamental fireplace. Situated on the ground floor, this room is perfect for groups of up to 10 for a meeting, or for a more private dining experience.

The Terrace, situated on the ground floor, offers an attractive and spacious meeting room with wood panelling. The Terrace boasts French doors which open on to the garden area and offers plenty of natural daylight presenting the ideal setting for conferences for up to 60 delegates and for a private dinner for up to 90.

BY ROADFrom London: Follow the M3, bypassing Winchester and join the M27 westbound, following signs to Bournemouth. Leave the M27 at Junction 2, and turn left at the roundabout, following brown Tourist Board signs for the National Motor Museum and Beaulieu (A326), Continue along the A326 until Dibden Purlieu, and turn right at the roundabout onto the B3054 signposted to Beaulieu. As you enter Beaulieu village, The Montagu Arms Hotel is on your left. Draw up in front of the Hotel and we will be happy to assist you with your luggage.

BY TRAINThe nearest mainline station is Brockenhurst just a short drive from the hotel and is well served by regular direct train services from London Waterloo (90 minutes),the Midlands and the North.
