USEF thanks you for participating in this competition and your

support of USEF’s continuous efforts to provide the safest

environment possible for our athletes and other participants.

Strategies for safeguarding athletes continue to evolve, and

we are fully committed to keeping pace with best practices.

The purpose of this letter is to remind you that you are bound

by the U.S. Center for SafeSport Code, USEF Safe Sport Policy,

and Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies, also known as

the MAAPP. This includes the SafeSport Training requirement

for adult members and participants who have regular contact

with minor athletes. Additionally, please be reminded about

reporting obligations. Any concerns that are non-sexual in

nature, please use the USEF Safe Sport Incident Reporting

Form available on the USEF website. Concerns or suspicions

regarding sexual misconduct must be reported to

safesport.i-sight.com/portal and the authorities if a minor is

involved. All of this information can be found in the USEF Safe

Sport Policy.

GENERAL RULES AND INFORMATION

ENTRIES

Enter online at www.horseshowsonline.com. Every entry blank must have the signature of theowner/authorized agent, trainer & be accompanied by an open check or valid credit card information. NONUMBERS WILL BE ISSUED WITHOUT AN OPEN CHECK OR VALID CREDIT CARDINFORMATION. There will be a $65.00 office/services fee for every horse on the show grounds.Management reserves the right to refuse any entry for any reason.Horses, on the grounds, not entered in any classes, must have a completed entry blank on file in the officeand will be charged a $100 non-showing fee per week. Horses not accruing a minimum of $100 in entry feesmay be charged the non-showing fee in lieu of entry fees.*Warning: Horses that compete in a class in which they are not properly entered will be charged a doubleentry fee. *Attention foreign exhibitors: All fees MUST be paid in “US Funds”.

CLOSING DATE

Entries are due by October 4, 2021. Post entries/New entries (new or different horses) made after this date willincur a one time late fee of $60.00.

SHOW OFFICE

Trainer packets will be available for check-in. Invoices will be sent via email at the end of the show weekwith the option to check out and settle accounts online. Barns are required to check in / check out withone representative handling barn account and all client paper checks.

COMPETITION NUMBERS

OFFICE ISSUED NUMBERS must be worn in the competition rings

SAFE SPORT

All USEF Life and Senior Active members, as well as participants who have regular contact with minorathletes, are required to comply with the U.S. Center for SafeSport training requirement to be eligible toparticipate in the competition. All participants must adhere to the U.S. Center for SafeSport Code, USEF SafeSport Policy, and the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies. More information about these can be found atwww.usef.org.

ADDS/SCRATCHES

ALL ADDS MUST BE COMPLETED o n l i n e a t w w w . H o r s e s h o w s o n l i n e . c o m o r a t THESHOW OFFICE NO LATER THAN 5:00pm THE DAY PRIOR TO THE CLASS. Time permitting, sameDay Adds will be accepted at the ingate and will be put on a wait list of each show ring . Scratches will beaccepted at any time prior to the start of the class – Scratch Fee may apply. Any scratches in the Derby after5:00pm the night prior to the Class will incur a $35 Scratch Fee.

TRAINER’S SPLITS

The horse show offers a service that allows the trainer to purchase shavings, feed, tack stalls, etc. directly fromthe Horse Show and then split the total amount for some or all of these items. Trainer splits will be accepted untilnoon Friday (no exceptions) of each show week. Trainers are reminded that this is a service provided by the HorseShow and that doing splits in a timely manner is their responsibility. Additionally, any splits uncollected from theclient will revert back to the trainer for payment.

SETTLEMENT OF ACCOUNTS

All show accounts must be closed out at the end of each week. Any open entry accounts will be closed bymanagement and a $60 processing fee will be added per entry. All questions about show accounts must beaddressed within 48 hours of the conclusion of the show. Any mistakes or questions regarding your horseshow account and/or prize money must be resolved within 48 hours by contacting the Horse Show Office. FORCREDIT CARD PAYMENTS PLEASE NOTE: You MUST have your credit card present at check out.

REFUNDS

STALL FEES CANNOT BE REFUNDED AFTER SEPTEMBER 6, 2021. Entry fees will not be refunded afterOctober 4, 2021 unless a certificate of illness or injury prepared by an accredited veterinarian, or a doctor’s noteregarding rider illness/injury, is presented to the secretary before the start of the show. Once the show has started,proper notification of the scratch must be made in the office BEFORE the start of the classes being scratched. Ineither case the entry fee will be refunded less any nominating fees, stall fee, and an office processing charge of$60.00.

NON-NEGOTIABLE CHECKS

A $50.00 SERVICE FEE OR 10% OF THE CHECK AMOUNT/CREDIT CARD CHARGE, PLUSEXPENSES INCURRED TO COLLECT FEES, WHICHEVER IS GREATER, WILL BE CHARGED FOR ALLRETURNED CHECKS AND/OR DECLINED CREDIT CARDS.

CREDIT CARD FEE

A convenience fee of three percent of the total invoice will be added to all invoices being paid with a credit card.

THJA FEE

Each horse entered in THJA-recognized classes will pay the $3.00 THJA Education Fee

USEF/USHJA FEES

Current USEF rules relating to drugs and medications will be enforced. Each horse entered must pay the $15.00USEF Drug/Medication Fee plus an $8.00 USEF fee. Each horse entered will also be required to pay the USHJAFee of $7.00. (Total USEF/USHJA Fees $30.00).

NOMINATING FEE

Horses competing in all 1.25 Meter classes, and above, must pay a nominating fee of $150.

RINGSIDE AMENITIES FEE

This $40 fee includes the cost of show ring scoreboards & scoreboard operators, horse show app lease &daily uploads, live streaming & display monitors for ringside instant replay. Main rings are equipped withscoreboards. The show app allows you to have all the updated information for the week at your fingertips.Grand Prixs and International Derbys will be live streamed @ www.JKvideo.co All rings are equippedwith an outdoor monitor to view an instant replay of your completed round. The $40 fee includes onlineviewing of the entire show including your rounds for the duration of the horse show. Video downloadsare subjected to additional fees. The $40 fee is limited to two charges per owner/leasee per show.

NIGHT WATCH FEE

All horses occupying a stall, showing and non showing, will be required to pay a show night watch fee of $20per show. Horses will be checked each night of the show week every 2 hours. This service is NOT optional.USEF rule: HJ107i. Night Watch: Security and monitoring service offered to exhibitors, which must beavailable to contract at an additional cost, for horses stabled on the grounds.

CAMPERS

Camper spaces are available for $225 per week in spaces 34-96. The Premier camper spaces are available for$275 per week in spaces 1-30. One pump out (Saturday morning) included in weekly fee.

STALLS

Permanent and temporary stabling will be available at a cost of $225 per week. Ship-ins will be charged a $125grounds/clean up fee per horse per day. Stalls will be available for move-in on Tuesday, October 19th, 2020 , After12:00pm, unless prior arrangements are made. 12x12 and 10 X 10 permanent stalls, with doors and mats areavailable. Stalls must be returned to GSEC in the same condition upon move-in. All nails, hooks, etc. must beremoved from stalls upon move-out. No sharing of stalls allowed. All stall reservations must be made withBarn/Stabling Manager. Stalls can NOT be resold without the Barn/Stable Manager’s approval Each horse willbe charged either a stall fee or a grounds fee. Shavings and feed are available for purchase on show groundsbetween 7am -5pm. NO outside Shavings Permitted. Violators will be charged $100 per stall.

SHARPS DISPOSAL

Sharps containers will be provided in all barns for the disposal of needles and other disposable sharpinstruments. ALL items of this nature MUST be disposed of in the provided containers. NO SHARPS areto be disposed of in any receptacle other than the provided sharps container. Any individual or entity not incompliance will be subject to a $100 fine per USEF 1210.4

HORSE REGISTRATION

All horses competing in Federation non-breed restricted licensed competitions with hunter, hunter breeding,jumper and hunter seat equitation classes (except those activities enumerated in GR901.9. items 1-9) must beproperly identified and must obtain a Registration Number from USHJA. A registration number for each horsemust be entered on all entry forms for licensed competitions. Proof of registration must be presented to the ShowSecretary before numbers can be released. To be eligible for National, Regional or Zone Horse of the YearAwards, and to enter a USEF Computer Ranking List Class horses must also be registered with the USEF.Exception for USEF Computer Ranking List: Citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of currentmembership in good standing of their own National Federation need not have USEF Registration.

CREDENTIALS

All exhibitors in any pony, pony equitation, Junior Hunter or Amateur section MUST present their credentials(MEASUREMENT CARD OR AMATEUR CERTIFICATION) to the show office before their numbers can bereleased. Please submit a photo copy of credentials with entry to facilitate processing. All horses or ponieswithout a valid measurement card will be measured at a designated time and place. Anyone not presenting validmembership credentials (USEF/USHJA) will have to fill out a USEF/USHJA Show Pass form and will be chargeda $30.00 non-refundable show pass fee for USHJA and $45.00 non-refundable show pass fee for USEF. Amateurexhibitors must present valid Amateur Credentials. Only a parent will be exempt from the Federation non-member fee if signing as coach for his/her minor child.

ANIMAL WELFARE

We require that all horses be treated with kindness, respect and compassion and should never be subject tomistreatment. Owners, trainers, riders and grooms, or their agents must use reasonable care in the handling andtreatment of their horses whether owned or placed in their care for competition or for any other purpose.At all times, while the horse is on the show grounds, we will provide for the continuous well-being of the horse.Abuse and use of whips will be strictly enforced. No poling, use of bamboo off-set or excessive use of the whipwill be tolerated. The well being of the horse must be considered above the demands of the breeders, trainers,riders, owners, dealers, organizers, sponsors or officials. Violators may be subject to penalties pursuant to USEFrules. In the event of an acute and serious injury to or illness of a horse on competition grounds when theowner or trainer of the horse or agent of the owner is not present, after reasonable effort to contact thatindividual has been made, competition management, in consultation with a licensed equine veterinarian,may authorize the provision of emergency veterinary treatment of the horse. If competitionmanagement so authorizes treatment under the provisions of this rule, competition management andveterinarian are not liable for any resulting costs, damages, losses, claims or actions arising directlyor indirectly from the treatment of the horse.

HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

GR845 EQUINE VACCINATION RULE: Horses entering the grounds must be accompanied by documentationof Equine Influenza Virus and Equine Herpes Virus (Rhinopneumonitis) vaccinations within six months priorto entering the show grounds. Horses without proper proof of vaccines will not be permitted to enter the showgrounds.

HEALTH CERTIFICATES/COGGINS TEST

A Health Certificate dated within 10 days of arrival to be presented when entering the show grounds. CVImust state the horse(s) has not been treated for an elevated temperature or anything related to herd health in thelast 21 days. Horses without a Health certificate will not be permitted to enter the show grounds. Texas lawrequires that each horse be accompanied by a negative EIA certificate dated within one year. Horses without anegative EIA certificate will not be permitted to enter the show grounds.

HEALTH PAPERS

A copied packet of your horse health papers must be dropped off at the check-in location prior to entering TheGreat Southwest Equestrian Center.

RINGS/FOOTING

Outside ESI Ring is approximately 140’ x 275’ with ESI Footing. Mega Ring 1 is approximately 145’x 265’ with ESI all weather footing. Tellepsen Indoor Arena is approximately 150’ x 250’ with Sandy LoamFooting. Main Indoor arena is 150’ x 300’ with ESI Footing. Wheless Arena (East Indoor) is 125’ x 250’ withSandy Loam Footing. Footing is a priority; rings may be closed to schooling during inclement weather and/or formaintenance at any time during the show at the manager’s discretion.

WARM UP AND LUNGEING AREAS

Warm Up Rings: Main Jumper Warm Up Ring-175’x90’/ESI Footing, West Warm up Ring-120’x60’/ESIFooting, Arena 1 Warm Up Ring-130’x265’/Sandy Loam Footing, Otto Warm Up Ring-125’x275’/OttoSport Footing, Wheless Warm Up Ring-120’x150’/Sandy Loam Footing.Lungeing Areas: East Lungeing Area-100’x150’ All weather footing Footing, D Barn Lungeing Area-90’x178’/Sandy Loam Footing. Tellepsen Lungeing Area – 120’x160’ – all weather footing

SCHOOLING

Hunter Rings will be open for schooling on the day prior to the show. Time permitting, rings may also be openbefore and after the show each day,for hacking. Times to be posted or announced. No manual poling; no offsetsof any type may be used while schooling. Jumping will be permitted in the rings at scheduled times andonly when medical personnel are on the grounds.

ATTIRE/HEADGEAR

All riders must be properly attired. Protective head gear must be worn BY ALL RIDERS AT ALLTIMES WHILE MOUNTED, anywhere, anytime on the show grounds. Headgear for all riders must meet orexceed ASTM Standards; must carry the SEI tag; and be properly secured by a harness.

JUMP ORDER

Show Management will determine a rotating jump order for all classes over fences. Riders or Trainers withconflicts must see the paddock masters in both rings so that the necessary adjustments can be made. Startershave the authority to scratch entries that make no attempt to be timely, without going through the ShowManager.

COURSES

Courses will be posted a minimum of one hour prior to each class. In Hunter classes, fences will simulate fencesfound in the hunt field such as; brush, wall, in & out, oxer, post and rails, and gates. At management’sdiscretion, a dotted line may be put into effect to restrict the size of the courtesy circle in hunter classes.

JUMPERS

Ties in jumper classes will jump off for first place only. Ties for all other places will be determined by first roundtime. Champion and Reserve will be determined using the 10,6,4,2,1,1/2 Bonus Point system. Bonus Points willapply to the class indicated for each section.

CHANGES

Management reserves the right to change, cancel, or combine classes, alter courses and do all thingsnecessary to compensate for excessive or inadequate entries.

RIBBONS/TROPHIES/CHAMPIONSHIPS

All hunter classes receive a trophy and eight ribbons unless otherwise noted. All equitation classes receive atrophy and six ribbons unless otherwise noted. All jumper classes receive a trophy and six ribbons unlessotherwise noted. Each hunter and jumper section will receive a champion & reserve award based on points unlessotherwise noted. Full Championship points will be given in all classes in each hunter section except GreenConformation Hunter Model which will count as half points. In all hunter sections, Champion and ReserveChampion will be awarded to two of the top four horses acquiring the most points over fences. These four horseswill also receive full points for one under saddle class.

PRIZE MONEY

Prize money is indicated for each class. Prize money won can be paid by check or deducted from each horsesaccount. An IRS W-9 form must be completed in full before any prize money exceeding $600 can be paid. Prizemoney will be withheld if the recipients Social Security number or EIN number is not on file. Prize money willbe payable to the owner unless written authorization, and complete alternate payee information, is on file withthe show secretary. All prize money will be paid within 30 days of the shows’ conclusion.All ribbons and prizes can be picked up at the designated Ribbon and Prize room located in the offices next to theMain Arena.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO

From time to time, events at this facility are taped or produced for live and/or delayed broadcast on NationalTelevision. The copyrights of any video production at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center remain theproperty of the Great Southwest Equestrian Center. No portion of any event may be copied, sold or rebroadcast(except non-economic use by the event participants) without the express written consent of the Great SouthwestEquestrian Center - Katy, TX. All copyrights are reserved under the Federal Copyright Laws of The UnitedStates.

PHOTO RELEASE

By signing the entry form, I agree to waive the right to the use of my photos/videos at the competition andgrant Great Southwest Equestrian Center and its agent’s full use of any and all competition photos and video.

DOGS

Dogs are not permitted to be loose on competition grounds and must be on a leash or otherwise contained.Individuals must not lead dogs on a leash while mounted. Dog owners are solely responsible for anydamages, claims, losses or actions resulting from their dogs’ behaviors. Dog owners failing to complywith this rule may be subject to a $100 fine. . In addition, pursuant to facility regulations, l oose dogs willbe removed by animal control, from the show grounds, at the owner’s expense.

OPERATION OF MOTORIZED VEHICLES

Minors who do not have a valid driver’s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state inwhich they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind including, but not limited to,golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles on the competition grounds . Minors who have a validtemporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied byan adult with a valid driver’s license. The parent/legal guardian or individual who signs the entry blankas a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsiblefor any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations will be cause for penaltiesagainst those responsible for the child committing the offense. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistancedevices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule. The unsafe use of personal electronictransport devices, as determined by the competition officials and management in their sole discretion, that do notrequire a driver’s license to operate including but not limited to segways, hover boards, and single wheeledscooters is prohibited on competition grounds. Operating such devices in areas where people gather may bedeemed “unsafe use” if there is a risk of harm to others. If the operator of the device is a minor, the parent/legalguardian or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent of guardian of a minor operating the device inviolation of this rule is accountable and may be subject to penalties. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistancedevices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule.

RESPONSIBILITY

WARNING:UNDER TEXAS LAW (CHAPTER 87, CIVIL PRACTICE AND REMEDIES CODE), AFARM ANIMAL PROFESSIONAL OR FARM OWNER OR LESSEE IS NOT LIABLE FORAN INJURY TO OR THE DEATH OF A PARTICIPANT IN FARM ANIMALACTIVITIES, INCLUDING AN EMPLOYEE OR INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR,RESULTING FROM THE INHERENT RISKS OF FARM ANIMAL ACTIVITIES.

Submission of entry to this show constitutes an agreement to the following: Exhibitor agrees to indemnify andhold harmless Great Southwest Equestrian Center, The Monster Mash Horse Show, instructors, officers,officials, directors, agents, employees, and volunteers against any claims, demands, costs and expenses,including reasonable attorney fees for the defense thereof, arising from the conduct or management ofExhibitor’s business or its use of the premises or from any breach on the part of the Exhibitor of anyconditions of this Agreement, or contractors, agents, employees, guests or invitees in or about the premises. Incase of any action or proceeding brought against Great Southwest Equestrian Center, The Monster Ma shShow management by reason of such claim Exhibitor, upon notice, covenants to defend such action orproceeding by council acceptable to G r e a t S o u t h w e s t E q u e s t r i a n C e n t e r . Exhibitor is responsiblefor his/her own property and Great Southwest Equestrian Center, The M o n s t e r M a s h Horse ShowManagement is not responsible for accidents, fire or theft.

THJA RECOGNITION

MEMBERSHIP AND ENTRY AGREEMENTS

FEDERATION ENTRY AGREEMENT

US EQUESTRIAN FEDERATION MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT

Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate inall classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the ModifiedLevel or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level,Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides. A non-member may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coachor trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage

Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $45 Show Passfee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2)exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot (exception: Friesian performanceFR218) and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lessonprogram); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed ReiningCompetitions. 8) Opportunity classes, 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of currentmembership in good standing of their own National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11)assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes.

By entering a Federation-licensed Competition and signing this entry blankas the Owner, Lessee, Trainer, Manager, Agent, Coach, Driver, Rider,Handler, Vaulter or Longeur and on behalf of myself and my principals,representatives, employees and agents, I agree that I am subject to theBylaws and Rules of The United States Equestrian Federation, Inc. (the“Federation”) and the local rules of the competitions listed herein. I agreeto be bound by the Bylaws and Rules of the Federation and of thecompetition. I will accept as final the decision of the Hearing Committeeon any question arising under the Rules, and agree to release and hold

harmless the competition, the Federation, their officials, directors and employees for any action taken underthe Rules. I represent that I am eligible to enter and/or participate under the Rules, and every horse I amentering is eligible as entered. I also agree that as a condition of and in consideration of acceptance of entry,the Federation and/or the Competition may use or assign photographs, videos, audios, cable - casts,broadcasts, internet, film, new media or other likenesses of me and my horse taken during the course of thecompetition for the promotion, coverage or benefit of the competition, sport, or the Federation. Thoselikenesses shall not be used to advertise a product and they may not be used in such a way as to jeopardizeamateur status. I hereby expressly and irrevocably waive and release any rights in connection with such use,including any claim to compensation, invasion of privacy, right of publicity, or to misappropriation. Theconstruction and application of Federation rules are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and anyaction instituted against the Federation must be filed in New York State. See GR908.4.

516 WIHS Tad Coffin Performance Saddles EquitationEach phase to be conducted under their own specifications and pinned separately, as well as anoverall placing. Conventional tack per USEF JP 110. Only running martingales used in theconventional manner are permitted in the Jumper Phase. Both Hunter & Jumper Phases to be scoredunder the Numerical System in the first round. Scores from each phase will be added together todetermine the overall winner. Scores from the first phase will determine the order of go in thesecond phase. The highest score to return last; riders may volunteer to move up in the order.516.1 Hunter Phase Entry Fee $45To be shown over a minimum of 8 jumps at 3'6". A numerical score will be given for the firstround only. Further testing will beoptional; USEF tests 1-19.516.2 Jumper Phase Entry Fee $45To be shown over a minimum of 10 jumps at 1.10m.
