The tool Bizagi Process Modeler®

This process manages the request for quotes for travel plans made by customers of a travel agency. When a customer requests a quote, a travel agent must verify the availability and calculate the costs of each of the services (car rental, hotel, flight) the customer included in the request. When completed, a travel plan is built and the quote is sent. Then, if the customer response is received within a certain period of time, the sales management process starts.

!Example 2: Purchase Order Generation Process!

The purchase department automatically generates purchase orders according to the raw materials inventory levels. If the purchase orders are approved by the administrative boss, then manager at the purchase department sends order to supplier and simultaneously send this order to the ERP system. However, if during the execution of this task an error arises (network connection error, etc.) the ERP is manually updated by the manager.

!Example 3: Incident Management Process!The goal of the incident management process is to assist and solve any kind of failure due to the disruption of any technological service affecting the normal performance of business activities within an organization. The process starts when a user reports an incident, then such incident must be assisted by technicians of the Help Desk that have to analyze and resolve the failure within a maximum response time, report this to the user and record the procedure followed to solve the incident in a data base. Finally the case is closed. If the person working on the incident does not find a solution within an established time, then the user has to be informed about delay. Otherwise he/she has to determinate if the problem requires additional management.

!Example 4: Collaborative Purchase Process!Collaboration diagrams depict the interaction between two or more processes. Usually they contain two or more pools to represent the collaboration performers (in this case the buyer and the supplier). The process is started by the company (buyer) which receives a purchase request from a department. When accepted, the Quotations process starts. This process manages the necessary activities to receive and evaluate quotations of the requested products in order to select a supplier. Once the supplier has been selected, a purchase order is sent to the supplier. Once the purchase order is received by the supplier, it is reviewed and can be either accepted or rejected. If accepted, then it is processed. Then the company delivers the products of the order and send the invoices to the buyer.



!Example 4: Collaborative Purchase Process!Then, after both the products and the invoices are received, the payment is automatically processed and an automatic message of payment confirmation is sent to the supplier. Once the confirmation is received by the supplier both processes quit.
