Dear MMHS Parents and Students:
We’re almost there and you are all doing great! We are so very proud of you for the positive ways you have amazingly maneuvered your way through these past couple of months. Your dedication and perseverance will definitely pay off as you begin planning for your future, whether it’s returning to MMHS next year as a junior or senior student, or graduating and moving on to exciting future endeavors. We would also like to express gratitude to our incredible parents who have supported and cheered their students on through so many changes. We feel that together, through all of these new experiences, our students have acquired the necessary tools to embrace their dreams and accomplish their goals. MMHS SCHOOL HOURS THROUGH FRIDAY, MAY 22nd:
Front Office & Counseling Office 7:30am – 3:00pm
Finance Office 7:30am – 3:00pm

o Limited counselor availability on May 14th & 15th
**All offices will be closed on graduation day, May 20th to participate in graduation.
All offices will also be closing at 11:30am on the last day of school, May 22nd.
UHSFF STATE FILM FESTIVAL COMPETITION: Memphis Gesullo placed 1st in the Animation category. Mitch Andrew placed 1st in the Highlight video category. Lauren Blaney placed 3rd in Documentary, and Kaitlin Dixon received the Director's Choice Award for her Addiction Prevention PSA. If you happen to see any of these students, give them a (nonliteral) pat on the back--they did a great job! --Mr. McGregor

Maple Mountain High School Graduation
May 20, 2020
Part 1. Procession and Ceremony of Graduates MMHS Northwest Parking Lot, Starting at 10:00 am
Car parade and walking procession o Watch for an email to sign-up for an arrival time
One vehicle per graduating senior o Driver needs to be an adult in the family o Family members stay in vehicle
Teachers line sidewalks to support graduates Spanish Fork Channel 17 (SF17) live streams processional (YouTube SF17, Facebook SF17) Graduates exit passenger side of the vehicle at checkpoint to walk the red carpet
o Vehicle will continue moving along in tandem with walking graduate Pomp and Circumstance will play during the processional Graduate’s name announced and they cross the stage Graduate greeted by school administration and receives diploma cover Photographer takes picture of graduate Graduate returns to family vehicle Gown return and diploma pick-up in south parking lot (open until 1:00 pm)
Part 2. Graduation Program
Spanish Fork Channel 17, Available at 4:00 pm Virtual graduation program, including speakers, musical numbers, and celebration Video accessible online
o Facebook SF17 or YouTube SF17 (available for anyone to watch)
Part 3. Stadium Lights On
MMHS Football Stadium, 20:20 Military Time
Graduates and families can drive by and see the lights Lights will be on for 20 minutes from 8:20-8:40 pm
Graduates will receive the following:
MMHS graduate sign (these will be placed in yards as soon as they are delivered) Keepsake graduation medallion to be worn with gown Special edition t-shirt
Please refer to the Counseling Department’s timeline for graduation clearance, textbook/chromebook returns, cap & gown pickup, purchasing honors and/or CTE cords, and more.
A 2020 Senior Party will be announced when mandates are lifted.

Textbook/Chromebook Return Textbook and Chromebook return will begin next Tuesday, May 12th for seniors and on Monday and Tuesday, May 18th-19th, for juniors and sophomores. After you have completed your assigned work for class, please bring all of your textbooks and class novels, library books, and Chromebooks to the MMHS Library to return them. If you are unsure what books or materials need to be returned, you can email Miss Mattinson in the library at [email protected] for a list. To help us maintain social distancing, please follow the schedule below. If you are unable to come on the scheduled days, you are welcome to bring your books labeled with your name to the front office of the school.

FREE SUMMER CODE CAMP The Free Summer Code Camp is still going to be offered but it will be online and more information will be coming soon. Students in grades 8-11 have an opportunity to be involved in a free Computer Coding Camp offered through Nebo School District and Code to Success What, When, Where? The Code to Success Camp will be held June 15th to July 23rd.

Accessing the Nebo School District E-book Library with Sora: STEP 1 - Choose your method:
Use the Sora app, or use an Internet Browser (Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.)
The Sora App is free to download from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store
If you are using a device that doesn't have the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store, you can access Sora in an interne browser at soraapp.com
STEP 2 - Find Nebo School District's collection:
Click - I have a setup code at the bottom center of the screen.
Nebo setup code is nebout. Enter it in the available line.
Click the green "Get started" button.
STEP 3 - Select the correct option from the dropdown menu:
Click the dropdown o If you're a student, select "Nebo School District Students". o If you're a teacher/staff, select "Nebo School District Staff".
Click the green Sign In button
STEP 4 - Sign in with your school Google email and password (personal Google accounts will not ork).
