CHAMBER & WIND ENSEMBLES

oAk Brook ProgrAMs

Very few chamber music programs in the nation are as large as MYAC’s, and no other youth program has experienced the competitive success that MYAC has at the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition and other national and local competitions. MYAC ensembles have captured the gold medal in three of the past four years at Fischoff, the oldest and most prestigious competition for young musicians.

MYAC’s chamber groups have also been featured on broadcasts including PRI’s From the Top radio program numerous times, ABC, CBS, WFMT 98.7 FM Introductions, and WFN 720 AM. MYAC’s Chamber Music Program offers trios, quartets, quintets, sextets, septets and octets for most instrumentation combinations. At least once a month, Sunday soirees are scheduled at Bennett Gordon Hall on the Ravinia campus in Highland Park and students are also offered many opportunities to perform at venues across the Chicago area.
