Being a swimmer, I naturally felt inclined to document the largest Private High School swimming event of the Winter season: New Englands. This year it took place at Deerfield’s immense pool. Despite the pool’s size, the area was cramped and soon became very humid. Even with the sub-par conditions, the Loomis Chaffee Swimming and Diving team pulled through with in-numerable amazing, nail-biting races. As head coach of the boys swim team, Seebs, would say, “It was a barn burner”. The meet was split up into two sections, the prelims and the finals. After the first day of prelims, many of our best swimmers had qualified for top spots in the finals and many of them also recieved medals. One of the most memorable moments was the deafen-ing roar of the crowd, which could be heard through-out the facility.
