These are two candid photographs of my friends that dis-played how unhappy they were to be caught on camera

during some of their “worst” points in the day.

My photo booklet is a collection of photographs that I took of my friends and myself the weekend before winter testing. At this time, we were all extremely stressed out because the horrors of Ju-nior Year were occurring, and school was more of a burden that it had ever been in our entire lives. On the page following the cover page (on the left), there are a few photographs of my friends- Justin, Shanelle, and Derrick. Most of these photographs were not planned, and were taken in the spur of the moment so they caught each indi-vidual in the midst of dancing or laughing. All the photos on the right are of food, and purposely include small human features like hands or mouths. At this point, I had just wanted to show the importance the food had on the night because it signified that we had fully es-caped Loomis for a night. On the bottom two pages, candids were the inspiration. On the left page, each individual photograph includes only a portion of our bodies intentionally. You can pick up on a lot by eyes, mouth, or hands alone in order for views to look more for the emotion behind those body parts, instead of the full body. In the final page, there are two candids- on of Shanelle, one of Derrick, display-ing their displeasure with “the world” because they were so stressed out.
