Challenge: Overband magnetic

separators are suspended

above a conveyor line in one

of two alignments,

depending on the offload

requirements (see sketches).

As the material being

conveyed passes beneath

the magnetic plate, ferrous

pieces are pulled up to the

conveyor and away from the

flow. These metal pieces

strike the surface of the

conveyor belt and sharp

edges cut the thin top layer

of standard rubber, PVC or PU

belts. The belt quickly

delaminates and becomes

unusable

Solution: Volta FRG-3 and FRGZ-4

Result: Belt life is typically increased

up to 6 times. VOLTA belts

are highly resistant to

abrasion, cuts , industrial oils

and chemicals and can be

endless welded on site.
