Coquihalla rollover A 21-year-old Rich mond man was in potentially serious condition Saturday after his car veered of the Coquihalla Highway and landed down an embank- ment. The young man left Kamloops at 7am and was en route to Richmond when his west-bound car drifted off the road, near the toll booth. The 2008 Honda Civic sheared a light pole and police estimate it tumbled about 25 feet down an embankment before landing on its wheels. A pas ser by ca lled RCMP at ab out 8:45am after spotting the car and police arrived at about 9:30. The victim was air lifted to Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster. Trip outta town Secret Souls Walk Fairy Godmothers The Fairy Godmothers of Merritt are a group of four women from MSS rais- ing money to help Grads who are not able to afford the costs associated with graduation. Proc eeds from their Casino Royale Night event to go towards the cost of photos, tux rentals, grad dresses, alterations, hair-dos, grad fees, etc. It is not unusual for grad to cost students upwards of $500 each. “Casino Royale” will be held Saturday, Nov. 6, 7-11pm, at the Merritt Desert Inn banquet rm.
