your audience?

They target the values of our target audience as a result of having such a realistic topic which could be quite controversial as well, because of the setting where Victoria was a kidnapped; a cinema it is very unlikely. As a result of it being realistic the audience are more likely to feel more involved so it would allow them to escape and feel more sympathetic.

Our chosen film drama is a mystery drama thriller which includes key conventions such climatic movements causing the audience to have adrenaline rushes as they are left on the edge of their seats but also mystery and thrill.

How does this appeal to the target audience?

This will appeal to our target audience because it helps to engage the audience in the plot. The opening title begins very slow paced which could be said that the news report style opening is important because it helps to set the scene and make the audience aware of who Victoria is and what happened to her. However the final few seconds towards the end of the sequence could be more engaging as well as important because there a superior tension which is created through the use of mise-en-scene and camera work.

We helped to set the scene through the use of

time lapses which allowed the voice over to begin helping to set the

scene

The use of the low key lighting in the scene where a man is looking at the missing person's tweets helps to create tension but also the footstep clip over the poster shows that he has no care and consideration for missing victoria; which leads to the audience questioning why. These question would then developed throughout the film as the audience continue and get to know the habits of the man who kidnapped Victoria. The last scene of the person walking up to Victoria is likely to be the most interesting scene because we see Victoria and we see the person holding her hostage for the first time which create many stigmas such as who is this man? Why has he kidnapped Victoria.

The dark lighting not only helps to build tension but helps to contextualise that idea of the man who kidnapped as being bad which is why dark lighting is used but it connotes that too. But Dark colours are often associated with evil or something bad.

The dark lighting towards the end of the title sequence helps to contrast to beginning of the title sequence because it was light and it is now dark. Inferring a good versus evil because in the beginning the family and friends were looking for Victoria doing good. However towards the end of the sequence the man who captured Victoria is slowing appearing and he is evil which is why the lighting changes.
