1 Connection computer MCC
Connect the connection cable (USB A) from the dongle with a free USB port of your PC. The other connector (USB-B) is plugged in the dongle. The Y-adapter cable (9-pol.) SUB-D-plug) should be connect to the dongle. Unscrew the display cable at the display and connect the plug of the adapter cable with the M12 plug. This can be done also under power. If necessary the display can be connected to additional M12 connector of the adapter cable. Due to the used plug, an incorrect connection is excluded.
Caution when using display and PC together sometimes the display function is slow!
Depending on the operating system of the connected computer, the drivers for the dongle from the supplied CD must be installed manually. It is recommended to update to the latest version from the Internet.

4 Troubleshooting
4.1 The Toolbox doesn’t start
Each Toolbox version has got a fixed time stipulated periode of use.
After the expiration date, the software version is invalid and can no longer be used with the old code! Each registered Toolbox user gets together with the new code automatically in due time before the expiry of the old version via email a link to download the new software. If there no new version of the software, only a new access code will be sent. The old code can no longer used.
4.2 The „Code status“ doesn’t change from red to green after the code
input
Is the latest version of the software installed? The new code works not for old
versions but only for the current!
Download and install current software version
The „User code“has been entered incorrectly
Please compare the spelling with the E-mail. Enter the "User Code" in lowercase
(possibly operated caps-lock button note!)
During the initial installation of the Toolbox, it can happen that the first code is not
accepted.
After entering the first code and pressing the ENTER key delete the code and enter the second code from the E-mail.
Validity date, here till 2013-03-31

4.3 The window „’XXXX-XX-XX‘ is not a valid date.“ pops up again and
again
The set date format is incorrect!
Exit the Toolbox in the task manager of Windows and change the date format in Control Panel ("Regional and Language Options") to the date format "YYYY-MM-DD". Then start the Toolbox and enter the code again.
4.4 No data connection to the MCC possible
An existing data connection will be shown in the Toolbox window as a green dotted line. Due disconnect connection the line is missing.
An disconnected or interrupted connection can have the following reasons::
- The cables and plugs are not corrected in the right way.
- The MCC control unit is turned off
Existing data connection

- The jumper in the dongle are not adjusted in the right way (see chapter 1.2)
- Install if necessary the driver of the dongle manually.
- A wrong interface connection is selected (Toolbox => Settings => Serial port => select COM-Interface with MCC in brackets behind).
- At Toolbox => Settings => At „Modbus/Bluetooth adapter“ no hook should be set!
- At Toolbox => Settings => At „Auto connect“ a hook should be set!
