Principal Message

When the month of May arrives, along with it we see a flurry of activity.

Spring sports such as rugby, softball, track and field, and badminton are

all going to be happening at a very quick pace. The last days are as im-

portant as the first. What happens in the waning days of the semester can

have an enormous impact upon a student’s educational experience. As

teachers and parents it is important to emphasis the finish line to our stu-

dents and children. With exams starting on June 10th our time will pass

quickly and we will be wondering where the school year went! Believe it

or not, it is that time of year again! Tickets for the prom will be sold May

10th to May 13th. Tickets are $25 each and only graduating students who

have paid any outstanding student/lost book fees, and their dates who

meet the criteria for sign ins, are permitted to attend. The Grad Prom

takes place at Shipyard Market on Saturday, May 28th from 8-10 pm. Only

students are permitted inside the Shipyard Market. Doors open at 7:30

pm. The event that is approved by the school and chaperoned by TOSH

staff is the Prom Dance ONLY! The "prom party" that often happens later

on prom night is NOT a school event.

The City of Summerside Youth Committee will provide a communication link between the youth of Summerside and the City of Summerside as well as encourage facili-

ties, programs and services that enhance the health, well-being and quality of life of youth in our community. It

will provide a voice for the youth in the City of Summer-side and the means to design, plan and execute real mu-

nicipal-related projects for youth in our community.

We at Three Oaks Senior High School are very fortunate to be able to field

twenty four different extracurricular sports teams. This allows more than two

hundred students an opportunity to be involved with interscholastic athletics

each school year. In September of 2016, our department will begin a very spe-

cial year as we commemorate forty years of athletics. To this end, the athletic

department is seeking funds for a uniform drive that will allow every Three

Oaks team to be outfitted with new uniforms as well as some anniversary

clothing during that school year. We are targeting all green and gold alumni

through this Go Fund Me account and hope that you will consider donating.

Friendly competition amongst all graduating classes is encouraged (please in-
