The cooperating school retains the legal responsibility for the safety and welfare of its pupils. Additionally, the cooperating school

assures that cooperating teachers and student teachers understand and follow established local school district and school policies and

procedures.

• punctuality• handling of absences• personal and professional conduct• dress and grooming• attending to assigned responsibilities such as

hall duty with the cooperating teacher professional knowledge and competence and

• discipline and classroom control

Criteria for Selecting Cooperating Schools

1. Approval of and contractual arrangements with the selected superintendent to participate in the program of student teaching operated by Taguig City University.2. Responsive educator philosophy guiding the operation of schools selected.3. Quality and extent of curricula offerings.

4. Willingness and desire of qualified teachers to assume responsibility for the supervision of Teacher Candidates.5. A school program that meets major and minor needs of Teacher Candidates.6. Adequacy of physical plant.7. Accessibility of the centres for university supervisors (close proximity whenever possible).
