Once in a semester feedback is collected from the student by the Director. After the

analysis of the feedback, the Feedback report (for the course and faculties) and suggestions

(if any) are given by the Director to the respective faculty members & accordingly faculty

college is in two stages.

1. Normal role of the Education Program:

In normal course, every independent faculty is deeply involved in planning of lesson for subject

assigned to him, the preparation is in normal subject in normal way and also he inducts the latest

developments in his subject notes and delivers it to the students. He adopts the innovative

methods of delivery in the classroom for which he has liberty to use overhead projector, power

point presentation, L.C.D. projection and even film show in related areas is permitted. He also

carries out the prescription given by the Gujarat Technological University and the role of a student

in the whole process is to receive it by attending the classes with regularity and by maintaining

peace in class and in the campus. Teaching as per curriculum, completing the coursework,

conducting test in the subjects, assessment of practical/Term work etc. are additional

responsibilities of the teachers.

2. Improvement in academic standard and development of the college:

For improvement in academic standards; the faculty at department level as well as institute

level conduct the pedagogic meetings where all the issues related to academic and its

improvements are discussed in detail from time to time. Decisions taken at these meetings are

converted in to points which are implemented by the faculty with the objectives to improve the

academic standards.

2.1 Deputation to STTP/Industrial Training and Long Term Training Programs:

Faculty will deputed for short-term and long-term training programmes for improving upon

their knowledge in the subject being taught by them. Teachers will be even sent to industries to

improve upon their quality by gaining practical experience. All these measures are aimed to

improve academic standards of the teachers, so that the delivery system to the students should

continually improve.

Faculties are advised to develop a close liaison with minimum 2 Industries.

2.2 Role as Proctor:

Faculty also contributes as proctors i.e. parent to a group of 30 students of a class and solves

all the problems of the students pertaining to academics in the college. All the problems of the

students related to academics and institute are sorted out by proctors.

Philosophy of Governance:

Governance of the institute is so devised that in addition to fulfillment of the basic objectives of

starting the institute there should be assured continuous growth of the institution. This growth

of institution should ensure the growth of individual faculty and staff associated with the

institution.

Role and Responsibilities of Key Senior Positions:

Key senior positions in this college are as follows: Managing trustee, Principal, Head of

Department and Laboratory in charge.

a. Managing trustee

Major financial requirements for the college like requirement of a building, major equipment

costing laces of rupees are to be sanctioned from managing trustees. It is worth mentioning

that for growth of institute whatever is demanded is immediately sanctioned by managing

trustee and most of the time power remains vested with Principal.

b. Principal:

Principal looks after the routine management of the institute and takes decisions on the issues

arising thereof. As stated earlier decision making is by participative management at the stage

of pedagogic meeting and indirectly well accepted decisions are normally implemented by

principal.

c. Head of Department:

HODS are responsible for the normal teaching/learning process of the department. They assign

the teaching load to individual teachers and ensure that regular classes are conducted as

expected and up to the satisfaction of the students of the college. They are also responsible

for the development of department.

d. Laboratory In charge:

Senior Faculty in the department are assigned the job of laboratory development in his area

of expertise and are normally assisted by group of lecturers who help in such a laboratory

development. They are also responsible to devise new experiments every year in light of the

advances taking place in the technology in respective area.

The Institute had designed following procedure for Student Feedback on Institutional Governance/faculty

performance

• Feedbacks from the students will be obtained at regular intervals in oral form by the

Principal & Trusties and also in standard prescribed format as a written document.

• Feedbacks taken from students will be analyzed and accordingly actions should be taken

as preventive measures.

• Students are given freedom to meet the principal to express their views about the

performance of any faculty at any time.

• A free atmosphere has been created to hear the problems of students and faculty.

• Grievance redressed cell has been created to hear the problems of the faculty, students

and staff.

• Complaint boxes have been put at prominent places inside the college campus.

• The phone numbers, cell numbers and e-mail Ids have been made available to students

for any sort of grievances at any time.

• Students are free to send e-mails and due importance should be given on their

grievances.
