MESSAGE FROM MPRC CEO
Malaysia Petroleum Resources Corporation (MPRC) is pleased to present its latest edition of the Malaysia Oil & Gas Services and Equipment (OGSE) Catalogue for 2017. This catalogue maps out the competencies and capabilities of Malaysian OGSE companies spanning the entire oil & gas supply chain. With the in-depth information contained within this publication, the Catalogue will continue to be a key document to promote Malaysian OGSE companies at major international conferences, exhibitions, and trade missions each year.
The 2017 edition saw an addition of 53 companies. This brings the total number of Malaysian OGSE companies registered with us to 207. We also incorporated an additional feature that will help interested partiesindustry players, investors and multinational companies looking to partner and grow their presence in Asia Pacific from Malaysiain identifying small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) with high growth potential.
Asia Pacific is fast emerging as one of the fastest growing regions of the global economy. Given its high economic growth rates, expanding population and rising energy consumption, this region holds the key to the future of the oil & gas industry.
Against this backdrop, Malaysia is the natural base for Asia Pacifics oil & gas businesses. Besides offering a stable and business-friendly environment, Malaysias OGSE industry is highly skilled and is capable of addressing the requirements of the region. The latter is due primarily to PETRONAS development of domestic capabilities over the last four decades. Thus, we hope that this publication, Malaysia OGSE Catalogue 2017 will serve as a useful reference for your company to explore opportunities and partnerships in this region.
On this note, I would like to take this opportunity to convey our deepest appreciation to all the companies that have registered with us. We urge more OGSE companies to register with us and be a part of this initiative. As the agency tasked with the development of OGSE industry, MPRCs initiatives will be enhanced with the active participation and involvement of the OGSE players. With your support, I am confident Malaysia is well-placed to become the preferred hub for OGSE activities in the region.
