Saint Luke came to our aid last year when we awaited the remodeling of our church and they welcomed us into worship.
Now, we return the hospitality; hosting them with Bishop Lull leading us and staying for fellowship.
It’s all about celebrating, not only our history, but our future!
Let’s fill the Church!

The setting for this verse opens with the fact that Peter didn’t know
how to face people who were foreigners and of a different faith. He
felt prejudice. When, the centurion, Cornelius, a foreigner (from
Rome), as well as a civil servant (like a soldier or "police officer") met
Peter - this story reveals a new opportunity for how to relate to each
other. Both of them overcame doubts and prejudices and they ended
up serving, not only each other, but their communities. Their story is
now ours.
We learn from History!
We also want to learn how to engage with others, especially our
"centurions", with a Godly purpose and with Good Will. We do so to
bring about a better understanding of how to be good citizens and
how our local police can be sensitive to our needs.
On Oct. 9th, we have the opportunity to meet with the St. Paul Police
K-9 unit at their Drill Field. Officer Friendly will engage our Sunday
School.
Then on a Friday - (to be determined in the next few weeks) we will
have a follow-up Town Hall/Parish meeting to meet again our local
"centurions" to better the relations of police and neighbors from our
common source of faith. All neighborhood churches are invited.

It was said to Peter, "Cornelius, a centurion, a righteous and God-fearing man well-spoken of by the people, by God’s call - sends for you to come to his house and so to hear a message from you." …Peter said: "I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality, but in every nation the man who fears God and does what is right is welcome to Him.” Acts 10: 22

There are many opportunities for involvement
in the Rummage Sale!
From the set-up and pricing to helping arrange merchandise,
working the sale, meeting the neighborhood characters,
working the snack bar or helping with the clean up it’s always
interesting and we really have a good time together doing it!
Please come and help for ONE TASK during this years
sale, it will make all the difference for us and you might
be pleasantly surprised by how much fun it is.
A bonus to helping is pre-shopping the sale...
