Class Policies

Registration: Please call us or stop in to sign up for a class. If you sign up by email, we will confirm your sign up. If you do not get confirmation from us, please call. Classes must be paid in full prior to the class date to ensure placement in the class. As a convenience, we do allow students to pay the day of the class, however, if you have signed up for a class, but not paid yet, you risk being bumped from the class and losing your space to a student who has paid. You will be notified if you are in danger of being bumped from a class. Drop-ins are accepted for classes at the discretion of the instructor, and must arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of class.

Cancellation: In the event of illness or unforeseen circumstances, please notify us PRIOR to the scheduled class start time. You will be issued a full refund. If you fail to notify us PRIOR to the start of class, you forfeit the class fee and no refund will be issued. If a class will be canceled due to weather or unforeseen circum-stance, we will notify you as far in advance as possible, in most cases the class will be rescheduled.

Student Conduct: All classes start on time, if you are more than 15 minutes late, you will be admitted to the class at the discretion of the instructor. Please silence your phone prior to the start of class. You must excuse yourself from the classroom if you need to make or receive phone calls during the class. Students are expected to respect the instructor, listen carefully to instruction, and behave in a way that is not distracting or disruptive to other students. Students are asked to be kind, polite, and courteous to each other, and to be patient. Keep in mind that everyone learns at a different rate and levels of beading experience may vary within the class, and most importantly, it is supposed to be fun!

Class Kits & Instructions: Extra bead and findings kits are available (for most projects) for purchase at the end of each class. Kits are offered at a special price ONLY to students who have taken the class, and are available while supplies last. With each class, every student receives a printed copy of the class instructions including a materials list. Instructions for projects that are part of our current class rotation cannot be purchased separately from the class. Class instructions and samples made in class are for personal use only. Items made using our patterns may be given as gifts, but cannot be made for resale purposes.

Complete Class Kits: If you cannot attend a class, but still would like to make the project, you can purchase a “complete class kit.” Complete class kits include all materials needed to make the project (excluding tools) and a printed copy of the instructions. The cost of a complete class kit is equal to the price of the class, minus a 10% discount (cannot be combined with Bead Society Discount).
