Fenestration Solutions Australia are excited to introduce theinnovative Lift & Slide Door Systems from Europe.

WHAT IS LIFT & SLIDE?

Like the design of sliding doors in cars and vans, Lift-Slide doorsystems separate the sliding and sealing/locking actions fromeach other. Lift-Slide allows the door panels to be lifted above the track and slide (roll) easily when opening or closing the door.

HOW DO THEY WORK?

Starting from the closed position, the door is locked and theweather seals are engaged in compression. With a 180° turnof the door handle the door unlocks, engages the wheels andlifts up by approximately 13mm. This then allows slidingwith little effort and without rubbing against any weatherseals.

When lowered, the door is locked and the weight of the panelprovides continuous contact between the floor and the doublegasket weather seal, creating a better weather barrier andexcellent security.KEY FEATURES

• Capable of sash sizes up to 3m High and 3.3m Wide

• Sash weights up to 400kg each (300kg standard)

• Between 2 & 6 Panels per opening and up to 18m Wide

• Multipoint Locking through single operation of handle

• Double Sash seals on all sides of the panel(s)

• Hardware is compliant with all European standards.

PRODUCT BENEFITS

• Doors can be built to the size of an entire wall making them the ideal choice when expansive openings are desired, opening up to the outdoors and improving sun-rooms, alfresco areas or just rooms with a view.

• Wider panels means less mullions obstructing beautiful panoramic views

• Significantly reduced drag & wear of the weather seals when compared with conventional sliding doors, thus improving lifetime & performance. Unlike conventional sliding doors, Lift-Slide panels only rest on the wheels when being moved. This avoids flat spots and difficulty of operation.

THE HARDWARE

HAUTAU is the only manufacturer equipping the highly corrosion protected bogies with cleaning brushes. This is effecting aself cleaning process on the running track with each operation. Ideal for large elementsThe HAUTAU ATRIUM HS® and Alu-HS® lift-slide-fitting liftsand slides sash weights of up to 300 kg. In a special design with tandem bogies of up to 400 kg. Permitted sash heights are between 1,200 and 2,700 mm(3,300 mm) and sash widths lie between 720 and 3,235 mm,while outer frame widths must not exceed 6,500 mm. The system is suitable for all common lift and slide windowsand doors made of timber, PVC or aluminium.

Extremely easy installationThe system is designed for fast installation of slide-inrunning rails, convenient frame corner connections, pre -fabricated floor thresholds, and extremely simple installationof bogies and espag speak for themselves.

Excellent running characteristicsHAUTAU is the only manufacturer to equip their highly corrosion-protected bogies with cleaning brushes. The effect: the runner rail cleans itself with each use whilethe rollers are protected from dirt and long-term damage.When opening and closing the window, the lift and slide fittings HAUTAU ATRIUM HS® and Alu-HS® make perfectuse of the leverage forces present in the espag and thebogie. Special PVC cover fillet supports in the bogiesensure that the rollers are relieved of the load in lowered andclosed condition. This ensures a long life (only Alu-HS® 300and 400), for many years of weightless gliding.

Secure ventilating and closingThanks to its well-engineered espag mechanism, the shapely HAUTAU design handle is pleasantly small and dis-creet. HAUTAU equips their lift and slide fittings HAUTAUATRIUM HS® and Alu-HS® with a convenient vent function.Out of the box, the gear is ready to work with profile cylinders.

Thanks to the well-engineered mechanism ofthe espag and bogie, the shapely HAUTAUdesign handle is pleasantly small and discreet.
