lifelifelifelife thru WISDOM
The last quarter of the year is here now and soon we will be ushering in the new year. 7C
Life has been blessed with many activities with our beloved members. We have members
from different walks of life, and yet we share one common thing: Love for one another. 7C
Life helps us understand the importance of loving oneself, and to spread this Love to those
around us. A simple smile can help spread the Love in our daily lives. In this issue, we talk
about the importance of loving one another, and seeing others beyond labels. Let us spread
the joy and love to everyone!

Celebration of Life: Guru Purnima Celebrations
Guru Purnima is a festival dedicated to spiritual and academic teachers. This year’s Guru Purnima
Celebrations were held on July 30th and 31st of 2015. This 2 day celebration displayed our love and
gratitude to all the Ascended Spiritual Masters. The word Guru is derived from two words in Sanskrit
language, "GU" and "RU". “GU” means darkness or ignorance, and “RU” denotes the remover of that
darkness. Therefore, a Guru is the one who removes the ignorance/darkness. Traditionally, spiritual
seekers commence to intensify their spiritual 'sadhana' from this day.
7C family members honored their Spiritual Masters by bringing pictures of their Gurus to place which was
placed in the Kriya Hall for the celebration. On the second day, the Sishyas were given the blessing to
show their love and appreciation to our beloved Guruji, Swami Guru Sri Kriyathasa Sekar by performing
the Guru Patha Pooja. A special abhisegam and Pooja for Lord Shiva, Lord Dakshinamurthi (who is Lord
Shiva in the form of a Guru) and Lord Muruga who is the Guru of Wisdom in the Kaliyuga Era was also
conducted. Here are some pictures which captured the beautiful celebration:

Celebration of Life: Sri Varalakshmi Vratam
The Sri Varalakshmi Vratam prayer celebration took place on 28 August 2015 at our 7C centre. This ses-
sion was a special prayer to Goddess Sri Varalakshmi (Mahalakshmi), to celebrate auspiciousness, pros-
perity, and wealth. Lakshmi is symbolic of eight forces, wealth (Sri), earth (Bhu), learning (Sarasvati), love
(Prithi), fame (Kirthi), peace (Shanthi), pleasure (Thushti), and strength (Pushti), collectively known as
Ashtalakshmi. This vratam is usually observed by married women (sumangalis) for the welfare of their
family. Many of our members joined us in this session to glorify and express our gratitude to the Great Di-
vine.

Celebration of Life: Krishna Janmastami
Krishna Janmastami was celebrated on 5 September 2015 at 7C Life. Also known as Krishna Jayanthi, this
celebration was to celebrate Lord Krishna, who is the embodiment of love and divine joy that destroys all
pain and sin. Lord Krishna is an instigator of all forms of knowledge and born to establish the religion of
love. With songs of Love, Praise and Joy, the 7C family came together for this joyous occasion. Here are
some photos of the celebration:

Celebration of Life: Vinayagar Chaturthi
The 7C Family celebrated this auspicious occasion on 17 September 2015. Vinayagar or Ganesha Cha-
turthi is the Hindu festival celebrated in honor of Lord Ganesha, the elephant-headed remover of obstacles
and the God of beginnings and wisdom. It is observed on the fourth day after new moon in the month of
Aavani. On Vinayagar Chaturthi, it is believed that Lord Ganesha bestows His presence on earth for all
His devotees during this festival.
A Special Abishegam for Lord Ganesha was also conducted to welcome Lord Ganesha into our lives. Full
of Love and Joy, this celebration was participated by many of our beloved members.
6
Celebration of Life: Lord Narayana Prayer Celebration
7C Life was blessed to celebrate Lord Narayana at a prayer celebration that took place on 10 October 2015.
This celebration was for Lord Narayana who is known as protector of humans. Depicted in the divine and
calming color of blue with four arms, Lord Narayana is the God of Truth and Peace. His consort is God-
dess Maha Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity. Our beloved family members had a wonderful
time during this celebration.

Celebration of Life: Navarathiri
The Navarathiri festivities are celebrated annually at 7C Life on a grand scale. This year, this celebration
was held at our centre from 13 October 2015 to 22 October 2015. Navarathri is a celebration of 3 Great
Divine energies of the Universe, namely Courage, Prosperity and Wisdom. In Hinduism these energies are
celebrated in the form of 3 Sakthis (power) as Durga, Mahalakshmi and Saraswathi.
The 10 day celebration saw a 3 day celebration for each deity. The final 10th day, was the convergence of
these 3 Sakthis as One Powerful Sakthi, known as Mahishasura Mardhini. She is the form that kills the
evil demon known as Mahishasuran. Many of our beloved members brought their friends and family to be
part of the festivities. Dance and song performances added much joy to this already wondrous event. It
was a 10-day celebration filled with love, blessings, laughter and divinely delicious food!

7C Youth: Chaperonage ‘15
The Youth of 7C Life organized the Chaperonage '15 program on 26 September 2015 where children and
older residences from the Pusat Kebajikan Warga Tua Wilayah Persekutuan & Pusat Jagaan Kanak- Ka-
nak Wilayah Persekutuan in Kepong were taken out for a day of fun, laughter and love. All children from
the home were paired with a Chaperone (7C child or teenager) and Supervisor (adult).
The idea of the event was to raise awareness amongst the younger generation to appreciate life and bless-
ings they already have been receiving in their lives, and to give them an experience to go down and live a
day with a child from an orphanage so that it would make them realize and bring back a take home mes-
sage at the end of the day.
A total of 23 children and 13 elderly residence from the home were treated to fun activities, lunch and a
movie. The event had local celebrity Ananda from THR Raaga mingling with the crowd. A fun-filled and
blessed event, it also saw donations in kind being given to the home from 7C Life. Everyone present had a
fun-filled day, as can be seen in the photos below:

Event Invite: 8th Swami Satyananda Memorial Lecture
The 8th Swami Satyananda Memorial Lecture was held recently on 15 August 2015. Organized by Inter-
faith Spiritual Fellowship (INSaF), under the auspices of The Pure Life Society, this lecture brought peo-
ple from many walks of Life together. Our Revered Guruji, Swami Guru Sri Kriyathasa Sekar, was invited
as one of the chief guests to give a talk on the theme "Moderation - The key to Peace and Harmony". Enti-
tled “Love One Another” the speech by Guruji attracted much applause from the audience (the speech is
shared in this issues’ Life Coaching section). The Guest of Honour for the event was YB Tan Sri Datuk Seri
Panglima Joseph Kurup, Honourable Minister in the Prime Minister's Department. There were also other
speakers at the event who represented the different religions/faiths.
Event Invite: 5th Malaysian International Conference on Holistic Healing for Cancer
Cansurvive Malaysia organised the 5th Malaysian International Conference on Holistic Healing for Can-
cer on 3 October 2015. Our Revered Guru, Swami Guru Sri Kriyathasa Sekar was invited to deliver a spe-
cial address at the conference. Entitled “Cancer and the Environment– A Mind’s Perspective”, Guruji’s ad-
dress fit the theme of the conference, which was "Environment and Cancer".
Cancer is a renegade system of growth inside the human body. The changes that must occur inside for
cancer to flourish are genetic changes, but factors outside the body also play a role. As humans do not ex-
ist in contaminant-free surroundings, over a lifetime, a person's internal genetic makeup persistently in-
teracts with external factors. Factors outside the body such as diet, smoking, alcohol use, hormone levels,
or exposures to certain viruses and cancer-linked chemicals (carcinogens) over time may collectively con-
spire with internal genetic mutations to destabilize normal checks and balances on growth and matura-
tion. It was indeed a unique topic to create awareness about the root causes of cancer and help people un-
derstand ways and means to eliminate these root causes.

What is “Gratitude of Life”?
The Gratitude of Life program allows us to usher in positivity through expressing gratitude and intentions to the Universe for a successful and happy life.
How is it done?
The Gratitude of Life program is held on a full moon day. This is held on the beach in Port Dickson, where participants will take a dip in the sea. Once this is done, participants will express their gratitude to Mother Ganga (Goddess of the Seas) through simple offerings and express individual intentions for a successful and happy life through visualizations.
The Full Moon and Sea
Universal energies are heightened during the full moon, thus making it an auspicious time to express our gratitude and intentions to the Universe. Saltwater is the best conductor to transport our intentions across the world. The full moon's heightened gravitational pull, increases the power of our intentions and allows it to be manifested quickly. As some of our beloved members have experienced, the manifestations can be immediate. All we need to do is say our intentions and surrender it to the Universe and see the beauty of
manifestation by the Supreme Divine take place in our life.
The importance of Gratitude
Gratitude opens the door to more blessings in abundance. When we are thankful for what we have, we will be able to express it with happiness. When we are happy, we will attract much more blessings in our life as we are attracting the positive energies in abundance.

Race, religion, nationality: these are a few terms that we tend to identify a person by. In today’s world, more emphasis seems to be given on the identity of a person. Has the world changed? As a human being, have we changed our attitude towards another person based on their “identity”? Has the human race become more extremist? In today’s Life Coaching, we share an excerpt from a recent talk given by Guruji at the recent interfaith forum , the 8th Swami Satyananda Memorial Lecture 2015: Moderation– The Key to Peace and Harmony. This forum was organized by Pure Life Society and was held on 15 August 2015. Love one another Love one another Love one another Love one another “We have spoken about moderation. We have spoken about a lot of things: about people,
race, culture, behavior, and much more. But what I want to say to you today is that nothing
has changed.
Everything that is happening in this world, right now, has been happening the same way.
Nothing has changed, there is no extremism. Nothing has changed. The world is the same.
Firstly, we need to understand the evolution of the human race. Evolution of the human race
has taken place through thousands of years.
Throughout the evolution of life, mankind has
understood something that is critical to him:
The Art of Survival.
Starting from the times when mankind used to hunt for food for survival, until today, the
human race is still hunting to survive. Nothing has changed.
It is this need for survival that is the important factor of living today. This same survival,
today, has many different conditions that have divided us into many different aspects. We all want to survive. If you have decided not to survive, you would not be here today; you
will no longer be part of the human race.
The human focus has solely become the survival of race. Every
being in the world today has divided itself into various demographics that they believe will better define them. We have
demographics that divide us by gender, race, religion, color of skin,
nation, generation and many more. No matter what we do, we are
Life Coaching
14
still being divided, sliced and categorized to divide us further apart.
If we look at these divisions, we will realize that it is not only happening in the spiritual or religious world, but also in the business world. Businesses also need to survive. If we take
all the demographics and division out there and apply it to us, we will find ourselves
standing alone.
You will see that you are one lone being on this Earth.
We have 7 billion people, but each of us is still alone, fighting to
survive. We have lost humanity in humans. We speak about
moderation at great length, but is it not extremism that we seek? We
put ourselves in a cocoon and say nobody is better than us, or can be
trusted in. Nobody else is right.
So where does the extremism exist? It is here, inside of us, not out there.
Let us look at how nations have come up: starting as a small society, a group of people, it
then grew to a village. Villages merged and became towns. Towns merged and became nations.
Today, we have United Nations, and yet we still divide ourselves by nations. Some nations
have merged and become greater nations. Germany is an example of this. It has now
become one strong and powerful nation in the union.
There are some changes happening around us helping us to break away from these
divisions.
Look at the social media, for instance. Social media broke
through all these different demographics in the world. What was previously worded as “Hispanics, Whites or Blacks are buying
these things” has now been simply identified as “There is a
million people buying this”. It has broken all demographics.
Adverts are now saying “People like this” instead of identifying products by certain demographics. It does not say “Countries like this”, it just says people.
Companies have also changed. They became nationwide and now multi-national
companies. Today, they call themselves global companies. One such company is KPMG.
There is no headquarters for KPMG; they can be located anywhere because they are a
global company. HSBC identifies itself as a local company in every country.
15
So where is the extremism? When I say the world has not changed, it is because all the
issues that we see in societies, towns, nations and the world, continues to exist just as they were. So what has made it more extreme and real now? It is because of news by the media.
The speed of news is feeding us with an
overwhelming amount of things that are
going wrong out there, making us think that
only bad things are happening.
Let us take a peek and see if that is the truth.
How many people in this world do you think
are suffering? 1 billion? Everybody? 2 billion,
3? Is anyone here in this room suffering? [Show of hands] Not even 5% are suffering.
So what exactly is happening to the other
90% or 80% of the world? Let me tell you:
They are all good. The world out there is still good.
Nobody will report about a plane with 300 people onboard reaching its destination safely.
That would not become news. The goodness will never become news. There are so much
good happening in the world, but nobody is going to talk about it.
The media has to create news and when they write news, they have to write it in a way that
it creates anxiety. This anxiety, in turn affects us. We take it and we become anxious. We suffer. Why? There is nothing wrong with you. That suffering is happening somewhere else
in the world. You are not the one going through the suffering.
So how do we deal with this created anxiety? Simple, by SAYING A PRAYER. If you have faith, you know your prayers will create a
miracle for those who are suffering.
We have gone through great lengths in pursuit of survival that we have forgotten to realize the existence of brotherhood and
sisterhood in humans. As I said, this is the extremism that exists
today. We have forgotten to be humans.
16
Now, let us talk about Sanatana Dharma. What is the meaning of “dharma”? Dharma means
a simple law. What is a law? A law is a principle of 2 factors which brings about an equation. Sanatana Dharma is a practice to understand the human being and the body, and
the practice of humanity. What is the easiest way to understand the human being, the body
and to practice humanity? It is from within you. It starts with you.
Start with yourself, it is as simple as that. It is the simple understanding of the pure
existence of the human race and the law of how it operates. When we operate in this manner, we will understand our actions.
The world will be ugly, if you see it as ugly. The world will be
beautiful, if you see it as beautiful.
How many of us have appreciated the garbage collectors who
have made a lot of effort to make our space clean? The people
who cut the grass, the people who sweep the road? They are
keeping OUR environment clean. Do any of us say grace for them? Are they not creating
and working every day to make our space beautiful? But instead, what do we do? We throw sweet wrappers out of the car window. We contaminate the world we love and we expect
other people to clean it up. We contaminate, and yet become the “voice” of opposing
extremism.
I am not here to offend anyone. I am just putting a mirror in
front of each one of us to see if we know ourselves as well as we should. Nobody should judge another human being. When we
look at the mirror we want to look beautiful. We want to see
external beauty. We want to present a beautiful person to the
world. Why? Because that is what we want to do. We want the
world to be beautiful back to us. If there is no beauty on the inside, we would not be able to project beauty and the world
would seem bad to us. We need to project what we want the
world to reflect upon us.
Andrew spoke about love in Christianity; Datin Halimah spoke about “budi” in the Malay
culture; Sister Loh spoke about the concept of “zhong yong”: the balance; and Dr. Sreeni
spoke, very correctly, about the concept of regarding the other person as a human being.
Dato’ Saifuddin spoke about “wassatiyyah” as well. All these say the same thing in different
religions and perspectives: HUMANITY. So what is it that we need? Like what Dr. Amir
said, we need extremism in faith. Faith not in religion, but faith in humanity. Faith in yourself.
17
How do we create faith? As I mentioned before, Sanatana Dharma
talks about the human body. We have a very powerful chamber of emotions which is called the heart. When we fill this chamber of
emotions with love, we will be able to project love. We would be able
to bring the same sacred purity of the heart. Mankind would never be
able to bring hatred, anger, fear, revenge and jealousy in the heart.
This is the principle teachings of Sanatana Dharma, the operating
manual for every human being.
This energy, the pure love, is greatly enhanced when we offer our gratitude to the Divine by
singing the glory of God. Now, how do we cultivate this emotion and enhance this
chamber? We can do it ourselves. There is a practical way to do this, a simple activation.
Just bring the sound of Aaaaa without stressing the throat. The sound vibration of Aaaaa is to awaken the heart center which is also known as the heart chakra.
Once awakened, we now need to fill it with love. Extend your hand to
the next person sitting beside you, and in your own faith, close your
eyes and tell God, “God, you have loved me so much. Fill my heart with that Love, the pure, Divine, unconditional Love, and allow me to
share it with the creation, Your creation seated next to me. Let me
enhance that person, let me enhance that life”.
This is what we need to do to bring love to the society.
A SIMPLE PRAYER OF LOVE FOR THE OTHER. LET US HUMANIZE OUR WORLD
ONCE AGAIN.
Thank you very much.

Upcoming Events Highlights
Atirudram Maha Yajnam
This December, 7C Life has been blessed to be part of the utmost tribute in prayer form to Lord Shiva: the
much revered Atirudram prayers (which is the highest form of worship to Lord Shiva) & Bhimeshwara
Swamy Temple Kumbhabhishegam. This event, which is organized with the Sri Matrudevi Vishwashanthi
Ashram Trust, will be held in the town of Draksharamam, located in East Godavari District of Andhra
Pradesh, India.
The consecration ceremony of the Bhimeshwara
Swamy Temple in Draksharamam is also a historical
not-to-be-missed event as it is being held after 70 long
years. The Draksharama temple is dedicated to Lord
Shiva. Lord Shiva has 5 faces and each of the face has a
different meaning to it. The power/energy of Lord
Shiva is to remove ignorance. This particular temple is
known as one of the Pancharama Ksethras, which
means the 5 main temples of Lord Shiva. Each of these
five temples represents a part of His face. There are
thousands of Lord Shiva temples, but there are only 5
that represent one of each of His face. This particular
temple belongs to the Gayathri face, which invokes the
energy from the Universe for Earth.
The powerful Atirudram prayer will be conducted at the same time as the consecration ceremony of the
temple. Atirudram is the highest form of offering to Lord Shiva and consists of Vedic chanting which is
known as the Namakam and Chamakam, which have 11 chapters each.
19
When all the 11 chapters of the first phase of the Namakam, are chanted and finished with one chapter of
Chamakam, it is known as one Rudram. When this is continued to the 11th chapter of the Chamakam, it
is known as one Egadasarudram, which means 11 rudrams. When 11 cycles of Egadasarudram are
completed, it will be one Lagurudram. When 11 Lagurudrams are completed, it is one Maharudram.
Atirudram, the most highest prayer to Lord Shiva, consists of 11 Maharudrams.
The prayer will be completed within 6 days by a total of 240 priests. Each time a Rudram is conducted, 11
homa pits are used.
The energies from the Atirudram will neutralize our body of sickness and negativity, which will last us a
lifetime. There will be no need to worry about any difficulties, charms, uneasiness, sickness etc. as long as
the mind is active and right.
All prayers will be conducted by highly qualified Vedic scholars known as Vedic pandits, who are of a very
high level standard of prayers. Around 78 of these priests in the last Atirudram were Ganapathigals.
Ganapathigals have a very unique way of chanting. The Ganapathigals chant a
normal mantra in a different combination. It has a unique mathematical computation
where it brings the essence of the Vedas.

Annadhana Karma Palan (Offering of Food)
The offering of food to any living being is considered the highest form
of charitable action (Dhanam) that one can do. It is only through food
that you are able to satisfy a human soul, as you will fulfill his
stomach. Anyone who is satisfied of his hunger will definitely concede
to be satisfied at the soul level. It is of great blessings (Punya Karma
palan) that you are able to satisfy a soul. That will give you the
contentment of the soul (Atma tripthi).
During the Ati Rudram, which is the highest form of worship to Lord Shiva, it is known that Lord Shiva
will grace the prayers. The Lord that fulfils everyone’s hunger will also be one of the many who will be
served during this annadhanam.
It is a RARE and BLESSED opportunity to be able to provide anna (food) to Lord Shiva himself, the Lord
of all souls. It definitely would be the highest form of blessings too.
Do not miss out this opportunity, which starts at only RM500 for 100 persons. Kindly contact our 7C
admin personnel for further details.
7C Family looks forward to this highly anticipated event and is already in the midst of preparing for this
prayer. More information is available at our website: http://7clife.org/atirudram-4/

Being part of 7C Life has changed life positively for all. Many have been part of 7C Life since it was
founded. Today, we have testimonials from three wonderful family members who have not only experienced many positive changes in their life, but who also are very much a part of each and every
activity conducted here. Also part of the 7C Youth team, here are their testimonials:
“The life that I had before 7C was introduced to me was a hectic life. I didn’t even have time for myself because I was too busy
thinking about the future rather than the present. There was no such thing called work life balance in my life. I was in
depression and sometimes I wondered why I was still living.
One fine day, I received an invitation from my friend to join the Navarathiri pooja at 7C. That was the 1st time I stepped into
7C and it was an amazing experience for me. I felt the good aura and the power of Divine very strongly. Next, I was introduced
to the meditation program and the benefits of it by one of the Sishyas. I was very eager to join but unfortunately I couldn’t
because I was too tied up with work and studies.
After 6 months I managed to allocate my timing for the meditation activity. Since I have joined the 7C family, my life has
changed drastically. With the guidance of Guruji, I managed to get rid of most of the negative energies from myself. I completed
my studies successfully with good ranking and now, with the blessing from the Divine and Guruji, I’m going to join a new
company very soon. It is like a dream come true. I’m very blessed and I’m very grateful for that. Thank you Divine! Thank you
Guruji and Thank you 7Clife!
-Prem-
I came to 7C at a time when life was just drifting without meaning: living the cycle of life, the trials and tribulations taking a
toll on me. While finding for answers to questions, and not knowing what to do, I walked in through those doors. The door that
brought much change to my life.
Today being an introvert I was, I have found not only friends, but I would say family. I still don’t know if I’ve found answers to
some questions but I do know that I’m not worried to get those answers as everything falls into place. In Guruji I see a father
figure; I have no words to describe Him then simply seeing Him as ‘Appa’. A revered, divine figure but always approachable
has also made ‘Appa’ like a friend and has thought me perhaps to start approaching and appreciating my own father in a
different manner. I hope too for many more escapades with 7C in years to come, meeting more family and simply being at home
at where I belong.

Personal Testimonies
24
“ First and foremost I would like to thank the Divine, Swami Guru Sri Kriyathasa Sekar, and my husband Mohan for this
interesting phase of life. Not forgetting the 7C family for warmly welcoming me.
I came to 7C in April 2015, and since then, 7C has thought me how beautiful life is and to appreciate every single moment of my
life. The greater impact was after my Life Realization Retreat which brought the inner joy in me. When you’re happy inside
everything just falls right. I always hear the word “overwhelming” being said in the centre . I finally understood and felt the real
meaning of the word. Words can never describe the joy and happiness that it brings to me.
Since then I have been participating actively in the activities held in 7C. You will just want to be part of it. It’s a place full of
love and happiness which money can never buy. To believe it you have to experience it. I experienced and am experiencing it. I
must be really lucky and gifted for going through this wonderful journey and to be part of this lovely and amazing family.”
- Malini P
We also have a testimonial from our dear Mahen on the recent Chaperonage ‘15 program.
“As for the Chaperonage 2015, it was an experience I thought I never could have again, simply by being like a kid again; there
were moments all I did was just sit, stare & listen while the kids were up to their antics . The experience was thought provoking:
seeing these kids enjoy the simple things in life at their time of adversity, makes you appreciate things better in yours. Looking
forward to Chaperonage 2016 or perhaps something we can do on a monthly! Thank you Dharshini and the awesome team, I
couldn’t have executed my task without you guys assisting, we did it as a team. Thank you to the Sishyas too and Karthik
annai, Darshini akka, Malini akka and Mohan annai., Suresh annai and Krishna annai. Being an introvert I had no choice but
to communicate to execute my task, make friends and lasting relationships with all: the committee, 7C members, kids & senior
folks alike, chaperones & supervisors. The beautiful relationships we have built along the way will be cherished in years to
come.
Thank you 7C, looking forward to many more blessed events”
