  • Assistant Librarian With a cool head and a creative eye

With a collection of approximately 14,000 books, 40 international journals, over 1,000 DVDs, and a film

theater with seating for twenty-five, the DIS library is packed with resources in our 290-m2 bright lending

facilities. However, we need you to help out optimizing the usage of these facilities.

DIS provides high quality academic study programs for American undergraduate students in Copenhagen

and our library plays an essential role in providing a high level of service to the individual student and

ensuring they have a unique experience at DIS. Furthermore, the library is part of the academic support for

    faculty and staff at DIS.

The new Assistant Librarian will be involved in several different tasks at the Library. This includes working

It will also be expected that the Assistant Librarian is capable of providing guidance to the students on

various issues, such as printer difficulties, book questions and a host of other things. At the beginning and

end of each semester there will be some additional physical work required with regards to setting up Book

    Return and Book Pickup.

Furthermore, we expect that you assist the Head Librarian with various projects at the Library, so being

    creative is a plus.

for a year only. Aside, from the Head Librarian and the upcoming Assistant Librarian, approximately four

Student Assistants are part of the team.

The position is 30 hours a week, usually placed within 8:30 17:00. DIS is flexible but expects flexibility as
