STORYBOARDS
MATERIALSscissors
In this lab, you will use the storyboards to put the story of Russia in order.
As we’ve said, history is about much more than datesand famous people’s names and memorizing what happened when. Often, we have to see history as a storyto understand how history works------and how it still affectsus today.
Another difficult thing about history is that it is almost impossible to find an account of history that does not contain bias.
For this Lab, use these storyboards to put the story of Russia in order-------the names and dates have been redacted from the event descriptions to emphasize that when you look at a sequence of events for what they are, theyusually make a lot more sense than if we were to read about them from themedia, or even textbooks!
Print out this document, and cut out the event squares for each phase. Then see if you can place them where they belong by following the story theytell.
We’ve split Russian history into five phases for your convenience, eachwith several events for you to put in order. A couple events in each phase aregiven to you.
