July 1, 2006

To whom it may concern:

It has been my distinct pleasure to know and work closely with Larry throughout much his career in the medical device business. My confidence in his abilities is so high, I hired him three times at three different companies to take on progressively greater responsibilities. In every case, he far exceeded my expectations.

I first hired Larry as a sales representative for Shiley Inc. selling heart-lung machines and extracorporeal circuits to cardiac surgeons and perfusionists in a newly established region. Larry quickly embraced an entirely new product line and call point to become the top sales representative in the company in his first year on the job. Most impressive about this performance was how quickly he developed prospects’ interest, confidence and loyalty despite competitive strongholds that had long dominated his area. I knew then his talent, tenacity and leadership would bode well for a great future.

Later, I joined Quest Medical as Vice President of Sales and Marketing to launch a revolutionary myocardial protection system for use in cardiac surgery. Larry was the first person I brought on board to assist me in building our sales and marketing team. He again demonstrated his leadership, rapport building and sales skills by becoming our number one Regional Sales Manager.

Most recently, I assumed responsibility as Senior Vice President at Access CardioSystems, a privately held, early stage company’ selling automated external defibrillators to the corporate, community and healthcare markets. In order to achieve our ambitious growth objectives, I needed to hire a very strong Vice President to lead US and International sales and marketing. Fully appreciating the contributions Larry made at Sulzer Spinetech, and Medtronic Sofamor Danek, in addition to my direct observations, I approached Larry with, what I believed to be, a lucrative equity position and promising opportunity to build a significant business.

Larry fully embraced the challenge and quickly established a solid sales organization. Annual sales exceeded 10,000 devices; a significant accomplishment for a new entree in a highly competitive market controlled by the largest medical device companies in the industry. Larry’s performance was stellar during his tenure at Access CardioSystems.

In closing, if your organization is looking for an effective leader and coach to recruit, develop, direct and motivate a sales and marketing team then I strongly urge you to consider Larry Harvey. His character, integrity and work ethic is beyond reproach, and he, without a doubt, will be a tremendous asset to the organization fortunate to get him on their team.

Please feel welcome to call me at anytime concerning Larry’s possible employment with your company.

Sincerely,

Eric Dufford
