We have had issues with children going to play instead of looking for their parents at dismissal. Parents, please watch your children during this time. We appreciation your cooperation. Dogs at Dismissal We understand that when the weather is nice people like to walk to school, often with their pets, to pick up students at the end of the day. At this time, we would like to remind everyone that dogs need to be kept away from the main exit, sidewalks, and areas where children need to cross. Instead, please keep them well behind the bike racks in the grassy area. If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to call the office. Lost and Found HELLO… Is it me you’re looking for?

Please stop by and collect your student’s lost item. There are winter coats, name brand sweatshirts, and so much more.

Please join us for a reception in honor of our staff who will be

retiring at the end of this school year:

May 15th 4:00pm – 5:00pm in the Library It is always hard to say goodbye to one of our Bobcat family members. This year we will be saying goodbye to four outstanding women. Although we are all sad to see them go, we are also very grateful for all they have given to our Langston and Lawrence families. Please join us in celebrating these fabulous women on May 15. We will have a come and go reception in our library. All students, friends and families (past and present) are encouraged to drop by and congratulate these women on reaching this milestone in their careers. Chris Heider has been teaching for 37 years and has taught at Langston Hughes since 2006. Linda Longino has been teaching for 36 years and has taught at Langston Hughes since 2000. Angie Koenig has been a school nurse for 24 years and at Langston Hughes since 2003. Resa Lemesany has been a school nurse aide at Langston Hughes since 2004. You will be missed!
