Exactly! We too thought the same way you are thinking. People celebrate this day by measuring their foot, which means every year this day you can measure your foot to see how much growth it has gained during a year. It is celebrated on the 23rd of January every year and its origin is unknown as of now.

Don’t Laugh! Respect that person who created this day celebrated every year on 15th February, right after the Valentine’s Day. Slap Day marks the beginning of Anti-Valentine’s week that ends with Break-up day being celebrated on 21st February. Make sure to make the best of this day by celebrating it with your enemy (we actually mean it).

Well one must wear a hairstyle suiting one’s look and body. Still we come across many such people who have very different hairstyle (we want to avoid using the word weird) and can be easily potted in a crowd. Make sure to appreciate your loved ones for the new look they have adapted for Hairstyle Appreciation Day celebrated every year on April 30th.

So here is a day to celebrate on the name of poisons… oops sorry… the hard drinks we have on every occasion. Every year on 8th June this day is celebrated wherein people take the name of the poison (alcoholic drink) they like and enjoy it to the fullest. But make sure you don’t gulp it down that it starts functioning like a poison. For those who are non-alcoholic can go for naming their favorite ice-creams or dessert.

September 18 is the day when people celebrate Ceiling Fan Day every year. In fact, a complete week is celebrated wherein the fan manufacturers provide big discounts on fan sales, including the designer kids ceiling fans you can purchase to decorate the room of your kid. But on a serious note – Are we really in for the celebration of such days? In that case, we should also mark the beginning of Bulb Day, Tubelight Day, Washing Machine Day, et al.

November 24th is the day when Charles Darwin’s book – On the origin of Species – was published in the year 1859 and with it came the theory that our ancestors were monkeys. Well, we don’t know the complete truth and believing the science blindly, we will celebrate this day as our evolution is certainly an important event to be remembered. So feel free and behave like monkeys for one day.

Why? Who? How? We really were shocked to see that such stupid days do exist. For a second, we thought that this is some spelling error and the day must be – Wear Others Shoes Day – but we were wrong. Yes, every 6th December is ‘Put Your Own Shoes Day’, wherein you have to put your own shoes for the complete day. Wait! So were we wearing someone else’s shoes for the whole year? Holy Cow!

We hope by now you have recovered from the shock you might have received by getting acquainted with such unique days. So take an oath that from now on you will include these days in your calendar and start celebrating it.
