Key Expressions that is because

in addition
English Dialogue Joe: Mike, I didn't see you at the meeting this morning. Had a rough night?
Mike: Yeah, what gave it away?
Joe: For one, you reek of alcohol. But youre also wearing the same thing as yesterday.
Mike: Thats because I went out for what was supposed to be just a few drinks. But you know how it
goes a few turns into an endless night of drinking.
Joe: Oh yeah, in order to schmooze with the boss, you have to keep going. Well, seeing you here, it looks
like youre able to handle your alcohol.
Mike: Why? Because Im not passed out on the street or puking up my guts?
Joe: Sure. After a night like that, most guys call in sick. In addition to the physical pain, theyre usually
pretty embarrassed about some things they said.
Mike: Thats where you got me. I sure hope Jessica doesnt remember me proposing to her.
