Studio 804 is focused on sustainability, and is working on their sixth LEED Platinum project. With the help of discounts and do-nations these projects continue to be possible, year after year.

Studio 804 is a non profit design/build studio at the University of Kan-sas. The current project is a facility for the Ecohawks, a mechanical engineer-ing group on campus. This building will serve as a car work shop and re-search facility for the students, who transform cars into electric vehicles. Fall 2012-Spring 2013 Desig/ Build Studio

The focus during the design phase was to create a place for the Crew team and the community to come together over shared interests. The Boat House will not only serve the rowing team, but will serve the entire community.

Wichita, KS is a city on the verge of change. There are plans in mo-tion to revitalize the heart of downtown.

Site Masterplan

Unitarians see God as Power and Light. Since Frank Lloyd Wright’s Unity Temple is very strong and powerful, it only made sense that the expansion would be light in material and perception.

The expansion is a field and object building, giving the perception of space between the build-ings that doesn’t actually exist on such a think site.

Our study abroad trip took us to L o n d o n , Rome and B a r c e l o n a . This trip fo-cused on the connections between city scale plan-ning and building de-tails. We were charged with finding s imi lar i t ies and differ-ences in each of the cities we visited.
