• A combination of DAP & the RIE philosophy:
• Classroom environment- DAP• Interactions with the children-RIE
• treat the infants as individuals with free choice • explain their intentions to the infants, wait for a response, and then perform the action
• Involves our employment of highly qualified individuals who are capable of providing high quality care.
Our main goal as an infant room is to provide our
infants with the respect and responsive care necessary to foster self-confidence and independence.
Our second goal is to educate the whole child.
Our third goal as a program is to treat families as partners in the classroom and create strong home-school connections.
Our final goal is to provide a truly inclusive environment where children have opportunities to use their individual strengths to learn, participate, and develop.
