What is an MLE?

• 70% of UK Universities are developing MLEs

• Many take the form of an Internet Portal

• DMU’s MLE

– launched to 1st year students in September ’03– extended to all remaining students in January ’04– URL = http://mle.dmu.ac.uk

A Managed Learning Environment (MLE) links together the various information systems and processes in a University or College that contribute to learning and the management of that learning.
