LaMoure School Board Minutes Not Officially Approved by the Board: The ANNUAL PUBLIC HEARING on TAX LEVY was held at 6:00 p.m. on September 15, 2021. Supt. Carlson provided a Power Point regarding North Dakota Century Code Law 57-15- 02.1 – requiring a public meeting if an increase is pending, Property Tax Levy Increase & Public Hearing Information. He proposed a Mill Levy increase totaling 85.8 Mills/$1,415,000.00 for the 2021-22 School year, bro- ken down to: 70.00 Mill or $1,193,931.00 Levy to the General Fund; 10.00 Mill or a $165,000.00 Levy to the Building Fund Levy; 3.8 Mill or $65,000.00 Levy to the Miscellaneous Fund; and a 2.05 Mill or $35,000.00 Levy for the Special Reserve Fund. Time allowed for a ques- tion/answer period following the presentation. There being no objections to the proposed request, the public meeting was adjourned at 6:30 p.m. The Board of Education of the LaMoure Public Schools held its regular meeting in the Library with Mrs. Braun, Mrs. Potts, Mrs. Lacina, Mrs. Laney, Mrs. Duffy, Principals Isaacson and Shockman by phone, Mrs. Bierman, Supt. Class schedules are work- ing well; Mid-Terms are Friday September 17; students are working on their senior hours; it was noted there were very few students at the King and Queen Homecoming Coronation on Monday, September 6 and sug- gestions are being taken on what can be done different. AGENDA: FALL ENROLLMENT NUM- BERS: as of Sept 2nd, 2021 Total Enrolled in the District of 261, with 24 of those students at the Colony School. AUDITORS REPORT: the Auditors Report was present- ed from Rath & Mehrer who completed the FY 2020-2021 audit in August. ANNUAL COMPLIANCE REPORT: Supt. Carlson pre- sented the Annual Compliance Reports wherein we verify that we are legal under the Department of Public Instruction Standards in the areas attached in the letter, such as our teachers hold a valid teaching license and are highly qualified, background checks are conducted, curricu- lum meets requirements. It was moved by Mrs. Duffy, seconded by Mrs. Laney to approve the Annual Compliance Report for the LaMoure Public School District #8. It was moved by Mrs. Potts, seconded by Mrs. Laney to approve the Annual Compliance Report for the LaMoure Public School. It was moved by Mrs. Lacina seconded by Mrs. Duffy to approve the Annual Compliance Report for the LaMoure Colony School. Assuming polled vote, all vot- ing yes, carried. ESSER FUNDS: Supt Carlson asked for suggestions for use of funds. COVID PROTOCOLS: THE LaMoure County Public Health distributed a form letter for school use if need be, regarding the protocols put in place in the event of symp- toms. They Public Health will be at the School October 15th administering Flu vaccines. TAX MEETING: Supt. Carlson reviewed the Public Tax Meeting, with no questions from the board. LEVY & BUDGET: Supt Carlson provided a hand- out for the 2021-2022 Revenue and Expense Budget. It was moved by Mrs. Laney, seconded by Mrs. Lacina to approve the 2021-22 General Fund Levy & Budget of $1,193,931.00, or 70.00 mill max- imum. Assuming polled vote, all voting yes, carried.
