Nathaniel Neal SousChef has always been a bitof a wild card and a freespirit, and it shines throughin the kitchen. He acquired

a business degree from MTSU, but hispassion has always been deeplyengrossed in the culinary arts. No matterwhere his career took him, he alwaysgravitated towards food, especially, when it came to eating. Having workedin high volume restaurants throughoutmost of his career, he acquired anegative outlook for the lack ofcreativity and quality that came with it.

Nathaniel had been exposed tomacrobiotics during his culinary career, but in 2010, the opportunity to be anintern under Virginia Harper was madeavailable to him and he jumped at thechance. It didn’t hurt that it was inSpain of, course. The Sha Wellness Clinicwas where Nathaniel was really able toflex his creative muscles, and becomeacquainted with macrobiotics. Sincethen he has been furthering hismacrobiotic education by attendingclasses and lectures under Virginia’stutelage and cooking for her clients withgreat success. He understands thateating healthy for some isn’t always achoice that we make on our own. Oftentimes it is a diagnosis or mortality thatmakes us understand that we need to bemore conscious of what we eat, and howwe live. “ I love making food for peoplethat have doubts, and I really love seeingthe light of hope comes on in their eyeswhen they just LOVE what you made forthem” Nathaniel is not afraid to say he isno expert, and is extremely humble andflattered to be given the opportunity tobe involved in such an amazingcommunity event.
