Useanotebooktowritedownthepositionoftheconnectionpointsandthecolorofwireswhennecessary.

1. Removethecoverofverticaldiscsystem

Loosenoffthesixscrewsontheleftcoverwithascrewdriver,andthenopenthecovercarefully.

2. LCDPanel

Loosenoffthefourscrewswithascrewdriver.AndthenremovetheLCDcovercarefully.



BeforeremovingtheLCDcover,pleasebecarefultheflatcableontheback.Firstopentheflatcableclampaccordingtothedirectionofarrow,andthenpullouttheflatcable,bothoftheLCDandtheflatcablearefragile,pleasebecareful.

Loosenoffthefourscrewswithascrewdriver.AndthenremovetheLCDcarefully.

Opentheflatcableclampaccordingtothedirectionofarrow,andthenpullouttheflatcable.

Loosenoffthefourscrewswithascrewdriver.AndthenremovetheLCDbackcovercarefully.

Opentheflatcableclampaccordingtothedirectionofarrow,andthenpullouttheflatcable.



3.Anglemeasuringboard

Refertostep1,removethecover.Loosenoffthefourscrewsontheanglemeasuringboardwithascrewdriver.

Pullouttheplugscarefully,andrecordthepositionofeachplugforassembly.Pleasekeeptheanglemeasuringboardappropriatelyandsafely.

4.Right Cover Refertostep2,removetheLCD,Cutthenyloncabletiewithpliers.Donotcutthewires.

Loosenoffthesixscrewsontherightcoverandthenopenit.

Whenopeningthecover,pleasebecarefulthewire.Pullouttheplug,thenyoucanremovethecoverfreely.



5.EDMCover

LoosenoffthefourscrewsontheEDMcoverandthenremovetheEDMcovercarefully.Makesurethatthetelescopetangentscrewislockedupincaseofscuffingtheinstrumentwhenyouloosenthosescrews.



6.Distancemeasuringboard

Settheinstrumenttelescopeinreversedposition,thenremovethecoverontopoftheEDM.

Loosenoffthefourscrewsonthedistancemeasuringboardwithascrewdriver.

Pullouttheplugscarefully,recordthepositionofeachplugforreference.Pulloutthesignalplugcarefullyaccordingtothedirectionofredarrow.

Finshedthosestepsabove,reversetheboard,youwillseetherecevingfiberisstillconnectedwiththedistancemeasuringboard.Becarefulwiththefragilefiber.

Loosenalittlethesmallscrewonthetopofthereceivingfiberbasewithallenkey,thenpulloutthefibercarefully,andremovethemainboard.



7.Fibers

WeuseforficatefiberontheNTS350series.Asshowninthefollowingfigure,thereisanmixedreceivingendandwhichdividesintotwofibers;oneisforinsidepathreceiving,theotherforoutsidepathreceiving.

Refertostep5,6.RemovethetwocoversofEDMandthedistancemeasuringboard.Ononesidewithmotorsandreceivingfiber,youcanfindasmallscrew;loosenitalittletillyoucanpullouttheinsidepathfiber.Asshowninfigure.

TurntheEDMover;loosenoffthefourscrewsonthemetalcover,andpullthefiberoutcarefullyfromtheholeinthemiddleofthemetalboard.

Attentiontothislittletrianglemarkontheedgeoftheverticaldisc,thisisthe0anglemark.

Asshowninfigure,setthetelescopeinnormal,assembletheverticaldisksystemintotheappropriatepositioncarefully.AligntheholesforscrewsbetweentheEDMandtheverticaldisk,andatthesametimemakesurethesmalltrianglemarkisnearbythelowerCCD.Thisisveryimportant,ifthetrianglemarkisnotintherightpositionafterassemblethedisksystem,theverticalanglevaluereadingwillbewrong.

Tightenallthescrewswhenfinishedthosestepsabove.Anddonotforgetthewasherduringassembling.



9.VerticalCCDunit

Refertostep1,3,8,removetheverticaldisk

coverDistancemeasuringboardandverticaldisksystem.Loosenoffthe4screwstodisassembletheCCDunit.Inthesamewaytoremoveanotheroneintheoppositeposition.

10.CCDBracket

Refertostep1,3,8,and9,removeverticaldiskcover,anglemeasuringboard,verticaldisksystem,andverticalCCDunit.Thenturnovertheverticaldisk,thereisacoppernut,loosenitoffwithpliers.

Takeoutverticaldiscfrombracket.Pleasekeepthemappropriatelyandsafely.

11.Verticaltangentscrew

Refertostep4,removetheslipringcover.Loosenalittlethetwosmallscrewswithallenkey.Presstheendofverticalbrakeringsystemaccordingtothedirectionofredarrow,atthesametimepullouttheverticaltangentscrewcarefully.

Refertostep6.Pulloutthe4pinslipringplugfromthedistancemeasuringboard.Recordthecolorandthepositionofeachwirethenpullthemoutcarefullywithtweezers,pleasekeeptheplugappropriatelyandsafely.

Refertostep1and4,removetheverticaldiskcover,compensatorplugontheanglemeasuringboard,leftsideLCDandbackcover,thencutthecabletie,pulloutthecompensatorwire,opentheslipringcover.

Loosenoffthe2screwsasshowninfigure,thenyoucantakeoutthecompensatorfreely.

17.Horizontaltangentscrew

Refertostep2,removetherightsideLCDandbackcover.

Loosenthetwolittlescrewswithallenkey;presstheendofhorizontalbrakeringsystemaccordingtothedirectionofredarrow,atthesametimepulloutthetangentscrewcarefully.

18.Horizontaldiscandverticalaxleunit

Refertostep1,2,3,4,5,and17,removetheverticaldiskcover,slipringcover,bothoftheLCDsandbackcovers,cutoffthecabletie,andpullouttheCCDplugs,removeoneEDMcoverandthehorizontaltangentscrew.

Takeoffthe4rubbercover.

Loosenoffthe3screwswithallenkey.

Turnovertheinstrumentloosenoffthescrewsonthebackcover.

Useallenkeyloosenoffthe3baseholdingscrews,thentakeoffthebase,thenloosenoffthe6dustcoverholdingscrewsandtakeoffthedustcover.

Holdtheinstrumentbodywithbothofyourhands,andthenmoveitupcarefully.Payattentionaboutthehorizontalbrakeringsystem,andtheCCDwire.

19.HorizontalCCDunit

Refertostep18,disassemblethehorizontaldiscandverticalaxleunit,loosenoffthescrewsontheCCDunit,thenyoucanremovetheCCDunit.



20.Verticalaxleunit

Refertostep18and19,,disassemblethehorizontaldiscandverticalaxleunit,thendisassembletheCCDunit,disassemblethetribrach.

Turnoverthehorizontaldiscandverticalaxleunit,loosenoffthescrewsonthebackcover.Becarefulwiththehorizontalangledisc.

Movethebaseupaccordingtothedirectionofredarrow.Youwillfindtheverticalaxleandthebaseareseparated.

Tips:keepthebottomofthebaseonthetopmakesurethesteelballswillnotdrop,iflostanysteelball,thewholesteelballsmustbechangedbecausetheyareuniquesetforeveryinstrument.Afteryouremovethebasefromtheaxle,youshouldpickupallthesteelballsintoasafetycontainerimmediately.

Loosenofftheplatevialadjusting.

Refertostep3,removetheleftLCDalongwithitsbackcover,loosenoffthescrewsasshowninfigure,thenremovetheplatevial.

Refertostep1,removetheLeftcover.Usescrewdriverloosenoffthe2screwsontheOpticalplummet.

Pullouttheopticalplummetcarefully,andkeepitappropriatelyandsafely.

23.Eyepieceandcrosshair

Screwofftheeyepiececover,screwofftheeyepiece,loosenoffthefourscrewsinside,youcanremovethecrosshairfreely.

2Checkthemotorsworkingvoltage,itshouldbe2.5V,ifnot,replacetheEDMmainboard,checkthemotorsvoltageintheteststate(factorymode).

3Insidepathsignalshouldbe10001500mv.(PrismorNonPrismmode)ifnot,loosentheinsidefilterholdingscrewnearthefiber.Turntheinsidepathfiltertochangethesignal;tightenthescrewwhenthesignalintheworkingrange.

Press[tape]toswitchthetapefrom05,theirsignalshouldbe10001500mv,ifoneofthemnotundertherage,replacethemeasuringboard.

Ifallthetapescannotadjusttotherightrange,replacethefiberormeasuringboard.

4InSTATE1,switchthemeasuremodetoPRISM.Themeasuremodemotorwilldropdownthefilter.Thefilterwillblockthelaserandonlyallowsasmallquantitylasercomethroughthefilterfromthegapinthecenter.

Whenthelasercomesout,thegapshouldbeinthecenterofthelaserblockedonthefilter.

Ifnot,loosenthefixscrewstoadjustthepositionuntilthegapinthecenterofthelaser,andtightenthefixscrews,putsomevarnishonfixscrews.



4CheckandAdjust3axis.(beforeadjust3axis,makesure2Ciscorrect.RefertototalstationCalibrationthe4thsection)

2Setupatheodolitebesidethetotalstation.Useforobservethelaserdotonthecrosshairboard.

3MatchthetwocrosshairstogetherbetweenTOTALSTATIONandcrosshairboard.

4Adjustscrew1,2whichonthebaseboardtomovethelaserpointtotheleftorright.loosenscrew3,4thenturntheredirectionmirrortomovethelaserpointupordown,untilthelaserdotinthecenterofthecrosshair.

Calibrations

Preparation:

Pleasepreparescrewdriver,adjustingpin,varnish,hexagonwrench,leveltheinstrumentonthecollimator,washyourhandsandgetready.

Content:

Thischaptermainlyintroducesyouthestandardadjustingprocess,thefollowingstepsshouldbefinishedonthecollimator.Excepttheadjustmentofopticalplummet,theotherstepsshouldfollowthegivenorder;otherwiseyoucantgetthewrongresult.

Process:

1. PlateVial

Leveltheinstrumentonthecollimator.Asshowninthefigure,rotateinstrument,makeplatelevelparallelinthecenteroflevelingscrewAandB,andthenadjustslevelingscrewtomakeplatebubblecentered.Turntheinstrumentfor90degrees,adjustthethirdlevelingscrew,andmaketheplatebubblecentered.Repeatthesteps1and2,maketheplatebubblecenteredinabovetwopositions.

Afterexaminingtheplatebubble,circularbubbleshouldbecenteredtoo(ornotbeyondthereticlecircularity),whichindicatesthecircularbubbleisverticaltoverticalaxis.ifnottheadjustmentstepsareasfollows.

1. Loosenthescrew(oneortwo)oppositewithbubbledeflectivedirection;

2. Tweaktightlythescrewonthedirectionaccordantdeflectiveuntilcircularbubbleiscentered;

3. Adjustthreeadjustmentscrewsforseveraltimesuntilcircularbubbleiscentered;

4. Theforcepowerfixingthreeadjustmentscrewsmustbeconsistentwhencircularleveliscenteredatlast.

3. CrossHair

Makesurethecollimatorcrosshairisgood.Trytomatchthetotalstationcrosshaircenterandcollimatorcrosshaircentertogether.Ifthetwocrosshairmatchedperfectly,meansthetotalstationcrosshairisgood.

Asshowninfigure.Ifthetotalstationcrosshairistilt,thenyouhavetocalibrateit.

Takeofftheeyepiececover,Loosenthethreecrosshairholdingscrews;movethecrosshairbasetomatchthetwocrosshairtogetherthenTightenscrews,andthendaubalittlevarnishonthosescrews.
