6.Distancemeasuringboard
Settheinstrumenttelescopeinreversedposition,thenremovethecoverontopoftheEDM.
Loosenoffthefourscrewsonthedistancemeasuringboardwithascrewdriver.
Pullouttheplugscarefully,recordthepositionofeachplugforreference.Pulloutthesignalplugcarefullyaccordingtothedirectionofredarrow.
Finshedthosestepsabove,reversetheboard,youwillseetherecevingfiberisstillconnectedwiththedistancemeasuringboard.Becarefulwiththefragilefiber.
Loosenalittlethesmallscrewonthetopofthereceivingfiberbasewithallenkey,thenpulloutthefibercarefully,andremovethemainboard.

Refertostep5,6.RemovethetwocoversofEDMandthedistancemeasuringboard.Ononesidewithmotorsandreceivingfiber,youcanfindasmallscrew;loosenitalittletillyoucanpullouttheinsidepathfiber.Asshowninfigure.
TurntheEDMover;loosenoffthefourscrewsonthemetalcover,andpullthefiberoutcarefullyfromtheholeinthemiddleofthemetalboard.

Attentiontothislittletrianglemarkontheedgeoftheverticaldisc,thisisthe0anglemark.
Asshowninfigure,setthetelescopeinnormal,assembletheverticaldisksystemintotheappropriatepositioncarefully.AligntheholesforscrewsbetweentheEDMandtheverticaldisk,andatthesametimemakesurethesmalltrianglemarkisnearbythelowerCCD.Thisisveryimportant,ifthetrianglemarkisnotintherightpositionafterassemblethedisksystem,theverticalanglevaluereadingwillbewrong.

Tips:keepthebottomofthebaseonthetopmakesurethesteelballswillnotdrop,iflostanysteelball,thewholesteelballsmustbechangedbecausetheyareuniquesetforeveryinstrument.Afteryouremovethebasefromtheaxle,youshouldpickupallthesteelballsintoasafetycontainerimmediately.

2checkthepowersupplyfromanglemainboardtoslipring.Ifthereisnopowersupply,replacetheanglemainboard.
3checkthebatterysupplythepowervoltagetoanglemainboardornot.
2Checkthemotorsworkingvoltage,itshouldbe2.5V,ifnot,replacetheEDMmainboard,checkthemotorsvoltageintheteststate(factorymode).
1Modemotorandinside/outsidepathmotorvoltagewillbealways2.5V.
2TestlightReducemotorwhenitisworking.

3Insidepathsignalshouldbe10001500mv.(PrismorNonPrismmode)ifnot,loosentheinsidefilterholdingscrewnearthefiber.Turntheinsidepathfiltertochangethesignal;tightenthescrewwhenthesignalintheworkingrange.
Press[tape]toswitchthetapefrom05,theirsignalshouldbe10001500mv,ifoneofthemnotundertherage,replacethemeasuringboard.
Ifallthetapescannotadjusttotherightrange,replacethefiberormeasuringboard.
4InSTATE1,switchthemeasuremodetoPRISM.Themeasuremodemotorwilldropdownthefilter.Thefilterwillblockthelaserandonlyallowsasmallquantitylasercomethroughthefilterfromthegapinthecenter.
Whenthelasercomesout,thegapshouldbeinthecenterofthelaserblockedonthefilter.
Ifnot,loosenthefixscrewstoadjustthepositionuntilthegapinthecenterofthelaser,andtightenthefixscrews,putsomevarnishonfixscrews.

1.checkandadjustEmittingaxis
1Setthetotalstationonthetripodandlevelit.Putacrosshairboard50Meterawayfromtotalstation.Turnontheinstrument,enterthetestmode.SelectNonPrisminState1toletthelasercomesoutfromtheLenscenter.
2Setupatheodolitebesidethetotalstation.Useforobservethelaserdotonthecrosshairboard.
3MatchthetwocrosshairstogetherbetweenTOTALSTATIONandcrosshairboard.
4Adjustscrew1,2whichonthebaseboardtomovethelaserpointtotheleftorright.loosenscrew3,4thenturntheredirectionmirrortomovethelaserpointupordown,untilthelaserdotinthecenterofthecrosshair.

Preparation:
Pleasepreparescrewdriver,adjustingpin,varnish,hexagonwrench,leveltheinstrumentonthecollimator,washyourhandsandgetready.
Content:
Thischaptermainlyintroducesyouthestandardadjustingprocess,thefollowingstepsshouldbefinishedonthecollimator.Excepttheadjustmentofopticalplummet,theotherstepsshouldfollowthegivenorder;otherwiseyoucantgetthewrongresult.
Process:
1. PlateVial
Leveltheinstrumentonthecollimator.Asshowninthefigure,rotateinstrument,makeplatelevelparallelinthecenteroflevelingscrewAandB,andthenadjustslevelingscrewtomakeplatebubblecentered.Turntheinstrumentfor90degrees,adjustthethirdlevelingscrew,andmaketheplatebubblecentered.Repeatthesteps1and2,maketheplatebubblecenteredinabovetwopositions.
Rotateinstrument180.Iftheplatebubblenotcentered,adjustthefixscrew,movetheplatebubbleahalfofthedifference;

2. CircularVial
Afterexaminingtheplatebubble,circularbubbleshouldbecenteredtoo(ornotbeyondthereticlecircularity),whichindicatesthecircularbubbleisverticaltoverticalaxis.ifnottheadjustmentstepsareasfollows.
1. Loosenthescrew(oneortwo)oppositewithbubbledeflectivedirection;
2. Tweaktightlythescrewonthedirectionaccordantdeflectiveuntilcircularbubbleiscentered;
3. Adjustthreeadjustmentscrewsforseveraltimesuntilcircularbubbleiscentered;
4. Theforcepowerfixingthreeadjustmentscrewsmustbeconsistentwhencircularleveliscenteredatlast.
3. CrossHair
Makesurethecollimatorcrosshairisgood.Trytomatchthetotalstationcrosshaircenterandcollimatorcrosshaircentertogether.Ifthetwocrosshairmatchedperfectly,meansthetotalstationcrosshairisgood.
Asshowninfigure.Ifthetotalstationcrosshairistilt,thenyouhavetocalibrateit.
Takeofftheeyepiececover,Loosenthethreecrosshairholdingscrews;movethecrosshairbasetomatchthetwocrosshairtogetherthenTightenscrews,andthendaubalittlevarnishonthosescrews.
