Why Should You Know the Mishne Torah?The “Mishne Torah” is a summary of the oral Torah. This masterpiece by Maimonides contains all matters of Jewish law and all Halacha for this time and for the future, from the torah and rabbinical ruling, in addition are some menhagim. This creation which is written in Hebrew was put together in an outstandingly precise order, shaped by short paragraphs containing Halachas suitable for every Jew

The “Mishne Torah” contains 1000 chapters which are divided in to 14 volumes (hence the nickname "HaYad HaHazaka"), it accompanies the learner in his daily cycle until the realization of the great purpose of creation. Learning the book in a complete manner creates a strong foundation for all study of Torah.

What Does the Mishne Torah Project Do?The project was started in order to recreate the exact nusach of the Mishne Torah and to make it accessible to the general public using a unique and concise elucidation.

Who Wrote the Elucidation?Maimonides! With great effort we went through Maimonides books and gathered all his sayings (mostly from the Mishne Torah, his commentary on the Mishnah, The Guide for the Perplexed, his letters and his answers) which help understand his method for each Halacha. Thus stands an elucidation on Maimonides according to Maimonides while noting the sources (you can check for yourself!).

In the effort to create this elucidation many teams and experts from various institutes (The Temple Institute, Mishpetei Eretz Institute, Eretz Hemdah, The Institute for Torah and the Land of Israel, the Institute of SH and others), rabbis and scholars from varied Yeshivas, academic experts and others, collaborated to complete this masterpiece.
