Klewin Construction is a privately-held corporation that provides general contracting and design-build services in a variety of industry sectors that include educational, municipal, residential and workforce housing, healthcare, gaming and hospitality, retail and restaurant.

The Klewin family has been building projects for two generations. While this translates into billions of dollars, and millions of square feet of construction, what we’re really building are relationships. We look at a building as more than concrete slabs, steel beams, and mechanical systems. Drawing upon the support of our scheduling, purchasing, estimating, safety, and design review staff, our seasoned group of on-site fi eld personnel serves as the “right arm” of the owner, representing your interests in the project. Our team works solely to provide you with the best quality product delivered within budget and on schedule.

P R O J E C T S C O P EInterior Build out of an existing space at the Auburn Hills Mall in Auburn Hills, MI. Project was a 14,000 SF project with a very impressive storefront system which included an illuminated portal entrance system. Th e interior of the space consisted of a GWB hard ceiling with a variety of elevation changes, 24” x 24” ceramic tile, large tempered glass panels with mirrors and back-painted glass throughout the sales fl oor. Project also contained fi tting rooms, waiting area, stock room and two restrooms. Th is project was 9 weeks in duration.

P R O J E C T S C O P EInterior build out of new Ann Taylor store located at the Cherry Creek Mall in Denver, Colorado. Th is Ann Taylor store renovation was over 5,000 SF of an existing space. Project consisted of complete demolition down to shell and new build out with high-end fi nishes. Finishes included gyp board walls and ceilings, wood and marble fl ooring, carpeting, and high-end fi xtures. Th is project included sales fl oor area, fi tting rooms, stock room at back of house and restrooms. Th e project was delivered 1 week ahead of schedule with a seven-week duration.

P R O J E C T S C O P ETh is Empire Beauty School is located in Morrow, GA. Th is 9,000 SF build-out was completed in 12 weeks and within the owner’s budget. Th e HVAC portion of the project was very intense with a large number of exhaust fans and 18 tons of HVAC. Th ere were fi ve diff erent types of fl oor consisting of cork, VCT, ceramic tile, sheet vinyl, and wood fl ooring.

P R O J E C T S C O P EProject was eight months in duration and consisted of one 18,000 SF building being converted into a two-story building. A new interior steel frame system was installed to create the second fl oor. Th e roof was completely removed to the existing deck and new roof top units were installed along with the related structural steel. Th e façade was removed and replaced to the current Ross standards. Th e existing storefront was replaced and also included new glass handrails at all interior balconies and overhangs. New walls and fi nishes were required to include VCT fl oors and ceramic tile in the restrooms.

P R O J E C T S C O P EShula’s 347 Grill is named in honor of Hall of Fame Coach Don Shula. Shula’s 347 Grill follows a long line of successful restaurants, all founded on the same famous tradition of Shula’s Steak Houses. Th is 3,100 SF restaurant was built in the Sheraton in Jacksonville, Florida, with seating arrangements for approximately 100 patrons. Th e project included custom millwork and amenities throughout the restaurant and memorabilia from the famed coach.

P R O J E C T S C O P ETh is 6,600 SF Sizzler nestled at the base of the foothills of Murrieta, California set the mark on how future Sizzlers would look. Th is 120-day project has earned its nickname “Th e Master Piece” from all the great minds working together to ensure it left a lasting impression. “It all starts from the second you walk in. If it does not wow you -- then I lost you,” says the franchise owner.

P R O J E C T S C O P EAl Dente Italian Cuisine is a sophisticated 4,000 SF, 125-seat facility located on the restaurant level of the Grand Pequot Tower at the Foxwoods Resort and Casino located in Mashantucket, CT. Th e kitchen includes a custom-built, wood-chip smoking cabinet, which is used to prepare the daily smoked seafood specials.
