Daily English Activities:
- Practise saying the days of the week and months of the year in order. What day is it today? What was the day yesterday, what will the
day be tomorrow? What month are we in?
- Read every day - Practice reading and writing your sight words every day. You can also make them out of playdough, or use chalk.

down and draw pictures

Choose a book from home and read it to

any words in the text that start with the sound ‘p’?
This week we will be learning about our first
farm animals - pigs! Write
down as many things you already know about pigs!
Think about what they
look like, where they live, what they eat.
Use the worksheet below
to try and write the three letter words by stretching
the sounds out.

of the pig and try to read
the words around it! Draw lines connecting the
labels to the matching
body part. Once you have done that, write a
few sentences about the
appearance of a pig.

3D Objects
Parent Information - New
topic: 3D objects are solid
objects that have three
dimensions such as
length, width and height.
An example of a 3D
object is a box or ball. Have a look around the
house for different
materials that are 3D. For example, sticks outside,
cereal boxes, toilet rolls,
tissue boxes, blocks, playdough and anything
else you can find. Draw some of the
materials you find.

3D Objects
Revision - 2D shapes are
shapes that are flat. They
are made with straight
sides and corners or
curved lines.
Compare 2D shapes and 3D objects.
Go around your house or
outside and see if you can find some 2D shapes or 3D
objects. For example, a
toilet roll, a tissue box are 3D objects. A square,
circle, triangle are 2D
shapes. Can you make a shape monster with any of
the objects you find?
Talk with a family member

Choose your favourite
number and draw a
collection of your favourite object/symbol.
For example Mrs Weston's
favourite number is 15 so she is going to draw 15
