Turnbull Weds Thomas Brown Miss Sheila Margaret Turn- bull was married to Thomas Walker Brown at noon, on May 27, at the Christ and Holy Trini- ty Church, Westport, Conn, by Rev. Dana Forrest Kennedy. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Forster Turnbull of Westport and the late Mrs. Anne Kirby Turnbull. The bridgegroom is the son of Mrs. Thomas Mott Brown of Bronxville and the late Mr. Brown. The bride is a graduate of La- sell Junior College, Auburndale, Mass. Mr. Brown is a graduate of Mitchell College and attended Washington University, St. Lou- is, Mo. He served two years with the United States Navy and is presently associated with the Liberty Mutual Insurance Com- pany in New York City. Miss Turnbull was given away in marriage by her father. She wore a formal gown of imported embroidered silk organza de- tailed with guiperre appliques. Her shoulder length veil was at- tached to a w i n g e d bow of matching material. The reception followed at the Cobbs Mill Inn, Weston, Coruu Miss Carole Turnbull of New York City served as maid of honor for her sister. The brides- maids were Miss Jacqueline Anne Turnbull of Westport and Mrs. Kenneth Collins of Engle- wood Cliffs, N. J. F. William Marshall of Bos- ton, Mass. was the best man. The bride was given in mar- riage by her father at a nuptial mass celebrated at 11 a.m. in the Roman Catholic Church of Our Lady of Mercy, Forest Hills. A reception and wedding breakfast followed in the Star- light Gardens of the Interna- tional Hotel at John F. Kennedy Airport. The bride wore an empire gown of white silk linen ap- pliqued with guipure lace, a matching train, and a headpiece made of a guipure lace crown and French illusion veiling. Her bouquet was of white orchids,- stephanotis and phalaenopis! Miss Linda Joan La Vine, sis- ter of the bride, was maid of honor. The other attendants were Miss Barbara Coogan, sis- ter of the bridegroom, Miss Sheila Stapleton, Miss Verna Kopec and Mrs. John Walzer. They wore apple blossom pink silk linene empire gowns. Mrs. Garfield, Mrs. La Rome To Address Bronxville Colony The last meeting of the sea- son of The Bronxville Colony of the National Society of New England Women will be held on Monday, June 5, at 1 p.m. in the home of Mrs. Stephen Bennis in Old Greenwich, Conn. Mrs. Chester A. Garfield, president of the Bronxville Col- ony, has recently returned from the Congress held at the East- ern Slope Inn in North Conway, N. H. She will review to mem- bers the reports and amend- ments passed by the National Board. Mrs. Harold K. LaRome will speak on "Women of the Bible". Mrs. La Rome and her husband, members of the Reformed Church, have helped in setting up the Library in the Church and have aided in implement- ing its present system. The theme of Mrs. LaRome's speech will be the influence women have had, as wives and moth- ers, upon the lives of their hus- bands and sons. The Bronxville Society of New England Women will resume its activities for the season of 1967- 68 in October with a varied pro- gram of cultural and religious subjects. Mrs. Bennis, who will be host- ess for the June 5 meeting, is president of the Greenwich Col- ony of New England Women. Miss Sheila Margaret Turn-bull was married to Thomas Walker Brown at noon, on May 27, at the Christ and Holy Trini­ty Church, Westport, Conn, by Rev. Dana Forrest Kennedy.

Mr. Cleghorn, a 1965 gradu­ate of Colby College, Waterville, Maine, is-attending the Univer­sity of Minnesota where he ex­pects to receive a master of sci­ence degree this summer from the university's graduate School of Physics.

Mr. and Mrs. George Mon-traville Davenport of Parkton, Md. announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Eliz­abeth Hay Davenport, to Alfred Gordon Goodykoontz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Owen Goody­koontz of 20 North Road, Bronx­ville.

Miss Davenport, a graduate of Garrison Forest S c h o o l and Mary Baldwin College, made her debut in 1962 at The Caroli­na Assembly and the Saint Ce­celia Ball in Charleston,. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mr». S. Marion Hay of Charleston and the late Mr. and Mrs. George Montraville Daven­port of Birmingham, Ala.

Mr. Goodykoontz is the grand­son of the late Dr. and Mrs. J. Gordon Rennie of Petersburg, Va., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Farmer Goodykoontz of Radford, Va. He is an alumnus of the Virginia Polytechnic In­stitute, '62 and the Graduate School of Business of the Uni­versity of Virginia, '66 A lieute­nant in the Army Reserve, he is now employed by Humble Oil and Refining Company in Gas-tonia, N. C.

Eastchester Woman's Club

The Duplicate Bridge section of the Woman's Club of East­chester held its annual lunch and bridge at the Bronxville Field Club on Tuesday May 23.

Seventy-six women attended and after lunch nineteen tables were in play. Winners of the an-naul awards were announced: First, Mrs. William Hambright and Mrs. S. Gabriel Hurely, Eastchester; S e c o n d , Mrs. Raphael Bellantoni and Mrs.. Charles Gfeller. Eastchester; tied for third were Miss Irene Korndorfer, Scarsdale and Mrs. Egon Kleinman, Eastchester also Mrs. Anthony Battista and Mrs. Joseph Saviano, Tuckahoe.

Mrs. Bazil Brown, outgoing chairman, announced the ap­pointment of Mrs. Charles Gfel­ler to fill the position. Anyone wishing to join the group is urg­ed to contact Mrs. Gfeller.

PHNO Plans Annual Meeting

The T h i r t y-Fourth annual meeting of the Public Health Nursing Organization of East­chester, Inc., will be held on June 13, 1967, at 8 p.m. at Palm­er Hall, Bronxville.

Dr. Albert Sobol, psychologist at Children's Village, will spaek on changes in m e n t a l health care of children as seen at Chil­dren's Village. Developments in this field are increasingly mat­ters of public concern.

James Reid will continue as president of the PHNO board for 1967-68, and Warren Lacke will be installed as /the new Vice-President of the board.

Nurses, one Licensed Practical Nurse, one Registered Physical Therapist and two part-time Home Health Aides. The new Home Health Aide program, made possible by the Bronxville League for Service, has widen­ed the scope of service made available by PHNO to the com­munity of Eastchester, Tucka­hoe, Bronxville and adjacent Yonkers.

A growing number of patients on all economic levels are be­coming aware of the many fa­cets of these services offered by PHNO as an indispensable aid to the doctor who gives the or­der and the patient who receives the care. Besides bedside care and physical therapy, PHNO conducts a well-baby clinic and, with the help of the Bronxville League for Service, a dental clin­ic for pre-school children. Class, es are taught to new mothers at Lawrence Hospital and items such as crutches and wheel chairs are ready for loan.
