Principals News

Lower North Coast Swimming Carnival I was lucky enough to be one of the time keepers today at the LNC swimming carnival. Cooper R, Cooper P, Monique M and Caleb M all represented our school with pride and swam their best. Cooper R came 4th in 8 year old 50m freestyle. Caleb M was awarded Senior Boy Champion, coming first in 200m medley & 50m butterfly; second in 50m backstroke & 100m freestyle; and third in 50m breaststroke & 50m freestyle. Congratulations to all of our students. We wish Cooper R and Caleb M good luck for the North Coast carnival that is being held next week. Cricket Congratulations to Jaie R who made the LNC cricket side. We wish him good luck for his up and coming games. School Banking If you would like your child to be involved in student banking it is starting this Friday, 2nd March. Students will need to have a Commonwealth Bank account to participate. Every home room teacher will have a folder that students will put their bank books in each Friday morning and these will be returned the following week. Mathletics Our school will be using Mathletics as our online Mathematics program this year. The school is subsidising the cost of this program for each student but we are asking families to pay $10 per student. Staff will be issuing students with their user name and passwords once the money has been receipted in the office. Once students have their user names and passwords this program will be able to be accessed at home as well as at school. Staff will set optional homework activities using this program. EFTPOS is available and payment can be made over the phone with credit card. Envelopes for payments will be sent home with students today. Parent Portals Today you will be receiving a letter about how to access the new parent portal that we will be using. At this stage this portal can be used to update contact details and also to book a time for the up and coming parent teacher interviews. Please ensure that you type the exact url details to register for this. If you have any problems please contact the office and we will be able to assist you. P and C AGM Tuesday Next Tuesday 6th March the P and C AGM will be held at 5:30pm in the front room. It would be fantastic to see as many people as possible present. Sun Safety We are a sun safety school and encourage all of our students to wear sunscreen and hats when outside. Every learning hub now has sunscreen available for students to apply before they go out to breaks. If students do not come to school with a school hat they will be asked to play under the COLA area in the shade. Kind Regards, Penny Chow Relieving Principal
