Security Code (ISPS) and Best management practice (BMP 4). Ensure the Ship Security Officer is trained and certified in accordance with STCW requirements and that ship officers

are familiar with their duties and responsibilities as decreed by the CSO and DPA. Ensure sufficient vessel and facility security measures are in place to reduce any likelihood of a security breach. Co-ordinate random Drug and Alcohol screening of vessel crew and Company personnel. Arrange armed security details for vessel transits and/or operations in high risk areas. Coordinate non-lethal countermeasures by way of vessel hardening and the establishment of secure CITADELS. Continuation Training and Development: Member Representative for IMCA Competency and Training, utilising IMCA guidelines to ensure compliance to HSE

regulations, in accordance with the company Integrated management System, ISO and OHSAS standards. Conduct assessments for verification of competencies for performance reviews and annual appraisals. Lead and deliver training programs, workshops and safety campaigns. System Management: Implementation Company HSSE Management System applicable to local laws and industry best practice. Liaise with clients and sub-contractors to ensure common Safety and Quality performance objectives are met at all

stages of project planning and execution. Keep informed about legislative acts and regulations pertaining to the Company’s operations. Technical Expertise: Operating as Drilling Supervisor on DP2 and four point mooring vessels, mediating with vessel management in the

coordination of SIMOPS with vessel survey and drilling operations. Extensive knowledge and experience in manoeuvring/positioning of nearshore self-propelled self-elevating platforms. Company IMCA Representative for ROV, Survey and Marine operations. Proficient in Unexploded Ordinance (UXO), identifying areas of potential threat of exposure and ascertain what

mitigation measures must be applied in order to reduce any likelihood of a UXO encounter during operations. Incident Investigations, Audits and Inspections: Lead incident investigation teams to determine causal factors and conduct post incident root cause analysis and

provide conclusive evidence and recommendations for improvement. Carry out vessel and facility HSSE audits and inspections in accordance with IMCA guidelines and clients

specifications. Integrate inspection programmes, internal and external audits for all vessels and premises in accordance with ISO

and OHSAS standards as well as the vessel ISM Code. Reporting: Create and distribute monthly, quarterly and annual reports to senior management and vested stakeholders (e.g.

Safety Statistics, KPIs, Near Misses, Inspection/Audit Programmes). Reporting non-conformities, accidents, incidents and near misses, ensuring follow up actions are implemented. Recommendations for improvement, corrective and preventative actions are carried out to a satisfactory level. Chair regular HSSE meetings with senior management to asses and review any HSSE issues.

Staffing and Resource Allocation: Interview and recruit safety professionals to senior level, allocate manpower resources to accommodate clients

expectations and meet with vessel, site and project environmental, safety and security requirements. Interests:
