ACTIVITIES FOR TODAY –
The Trading Post will be open today at lunch!
Forensics Club (Speech and Debate) meeting at lunch in room
314.
Our Pantry is now stocked with food, if you need some food to
take home for the weekend please go see your counselor, we can
get you a bag of food to take home afterschool or we can deliver
it if need be.
Next week come and get FREE breakfast!! Start the day with a
no cost breakfast!!
Wrestling banquet will be Weds., Mar. 7th at 6pm in the cafeteria.
If you haven’t turned in your year yet, you need to turn it in then.
Find a winning team and sign up for the
handball tournament by Mar. 20th. It will be
held on Tues., Mar. 20th at 6pm in the West
Gym. Sign ups are in front of Room 442.
Do you like to sing, play piano, or guitar? The vocal music
department is having auditions for next year’s advanced Scarlet
& Gold and Jazz choirs, as well as the advanced guitar ensemble
starting next week. Sign-up for an audition time in the cafeteria
outside of the choir room today!
Have any talents you want to show off in the
school Talent Show? Sign up for Star Search
Auditions outside of Rm. 442. Auditions start
on March 12th in the choir room.
Today is the last day to register for AP testing!!!!!! Check with
your AP teacher or Ms. Conover with any questions!
The agricultural program is one of the best kept secrets on
campus. Come take a tour of our facilities and see our rabbits,
chickens, fish, greenhouse and metal shop. Come to room 414
for more information.
It's time for the March Madness 3 on
3 Basketball tournament. Come sign
your team up in the GEAR UP office
today. Winners of KaHS will play the winners of Kennewick High
School.
Are you planning to apply for Tri Tech next
year? There are two ways to submit your
application:
1. Bring your completed application with you when you register with your counselor.
2. Bring your completed application to your counselor no later than Thursday, March 22.
Whichever way you choose, all applications are
due to the counselors by Thursday, March 22.
Seniors, many colleges have Special student admit days and
some even offer scholarship money up to $1,000 for
attending. Come to GEAR UP to learn more about these
opportunities and trips that GEAR UP will be taking students on
to these events.
College Visits
Paul Mitchell will be hosting a Pizza Luncheon. Thursday, March
8. Come meet Chelsea Dalton and get all the information you
need to apply, get financial aid and scholarships. Sign up to
attend in the Career Center.
March 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th- Getting Started Workshops @ CBC
Students that need to apply for admission, we can help them
get the application started. If they have already applied we will
help them log into their student portal and begin setting up
their CBC profile information. We will connect them with
scheduling for the placement test, online orientation and how
to get a meeting with a counselor to register for Fall 2018
classes.
