On her journey she meets the Cheshire cat, a two-legged dragon and the March Hare at the medieval Mad Hatter’s tea party. But beware the Queen of Hearts or you might just lose your head! Daniel Bye’s whistlestop tour of bizarre facts and extraordinary stories is occasionally shambolic and often misguided– but always a joy to watch. The Price of Everything asks one of the most important questions in our culture: why do we have to measure absolutely everything in money? Paul Lyalls, star of BBC2’s/ CBBC’s Big Slam Poetry House has just released his new full collection ‘Catching The Cascade’ and has been shortlisted for the 2012 People’s Book Prize. A regular sell out at the Edinburgh Festival, John Hegley combines comedy, music and spoken word and is one of the country’s most innovative comic poets. Kingsway Primary School in Goole have been working for the last six months on selecting a variety of shows and events for their Takeover of Junction. 47 children aged 10-11-years-old have been working closely with staff from Junction to tell us what they want for their festival! For these two weeks the children have picked everything at Junction- from the films to the shows- and even the workshops! Needless to say, there will be workshops, film, schools performances, installations as well as some special events. Watch out for little workers scurrying about the place in March, they will be helping us steward events, selling tickets on box office and marketing the events. You can join in the fun too! Ask at the box office for more information. Tuesday 12 March and Wednesday 13 March Lempen Puppets presents The Fisherman & The Pearl McManus, an old fisherman from Fisherman’s Cove, has seen it all. When he was young the fishing was good and the sea teeming with life. Now he’s old, sad and grumpy and spends his days sitting on the rocks lamenting the good old days. But his granddaughter Jo has found something at the beach - a special pearl - and all may not be lost ... The show is suitable for key stages one and two with each child given an information pack provided by the Marine Conservation Society. Schools can also take away classroom posters and are invited to be Bottle Champions involving recycling in the school. A wonderful cast will take you on a musical journey through laughter, song and dance. Following the opening selection of music and song, featuring Michael Buble songs, the show will move to excerpts from the smash hit musical Jersey Boys. Tribute will also be paid to the legends of Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jnr and many more, along with the usual array of glittering costumes. £5.50 2pm Friday 22 March Uke Off A fun musical evening of entertainment featuring several ukulele performances from Jacqui Wicks and members of Ossett’s Ukulele Massive who will join young people from Goole’s Ukulele Junction project for an evening of ukulele magic. There are songs and music which bring to life a variety of nursery rhyme characters played by a wide range of puppets, all on their way to Mother Hubbard’s for some Plum Pie. Bringing an element of Mark Steel’s In Town to each live performance means Mark will write material shedding light on the quirkiness and interesting aspects of every town and city he visits, allowing each show to be unique - something local audiences up and down the country will devour and enjoy. Mark is committed to performing a routine about the history of every town he’ll perform in. However, he may regret making this promise! As well as Mark Steel’s In Town, Mark has presented the BAFTA nominated Mark Steel Lectures for BBC2, is a regular on BBC One’s Have I Got News For You and Radio 4’s News Quiz. ACCESS

There is a ramp from street level to the walkway at the front of the building, and a fully level ground floor. We have a lift up to the balcony and community room, with accessible toilets on both levels. The auditorium features space for wheelchair users, both on the front row and on the balcony. An induction loop is fitted in the auditorium and other rooms. Junction’s friendly staff will be more than happy to assist you, so please make your requirements known at the time of booking.

THE WALKWAY CAFÉ BAR Open Monday to Saturday from 9am. Food served from 10am until 2.30pm.The bar will be open for drinks before films and performances, as well as

during intervals, for which drinks may be pre-ordered before the show. Drinks may be taken into the auditorium in plastic glasses (please ask at the bar).Special, themed, pre-show meals will be available at some events. Please see event listings or our website for details.

Concessions Concessionary tickets are available for most productions and are offered to under 16s, over 60s, registered disabled people, individuals claiming job seekers allowance and anyone in full-time education. You will be asked to provide ID as proof of entitlement.

Ticket Bookings Customers paying for tickets by card will be charged a small booking fee (Credit: £1 / Debit: 50p)

Reservations may be held for up to 7 days or half an hour before the performance, whichever comes first. Junction reserves the right to sell tickets that are not paid for within these times. Once paid for, tickets can only be refunded in the event of a performance/film being cancelled. Providing two full clear working days notice is given, tickets may be transferred at face value to other shows in the season (excluding hires). TUESDAY – ELECTRIC YOUTH THEATRE8 January – 19 March (excluding Half Term 12 February)Performance 16 March as part of PlatformElectric Youth Theatre has been running for over 13 years and offers chil-dren and young people access to high quality workshops where they can explore drama in a fun, engaging and creative environment.

THURSDAY - UKULELE JUNCTION10 January – 21 March (excluding Half Term 14 February)Performance as part of Uke Off 22 MarchFun sessions for young people aged 11+ suitable for beginners and more experienced uke players. The group will work together to learn a song or two for the Uke Off on Fri 22 March alongside professional artists and bands. If you have a uke, bring it along, if you don’t let us know and bor-row one of ours!
