Chamber Events & Programs
Rise & Shine Rise & Shine is a one-hour networking event held monthly at different Chamber member locations. Rise & Shine is the last Friday of each month from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Chamber 101 Chamber 101 educates members about the Chamber, its services, and how to maximize membership. Pope County Community Expo This event is held each spring at the Minnewaska Area High School. Many local and surrounding area business are there to showcase their products and services. Annual Meeting & Awards Luncheon This event celebrates the accomplishments of the past year and kicks off the new year. Recognitions and awards are presented. Waterama Boardwalk Sales This event is the premier celebration of life near Lake Minnewaska, held the last full weekend in July every year. Local businesses have sales & specials throughout town. Chamber Cup Golf Tournament Held in August, this Chamber fundraiser features a fun day on the golf course. Sponsor a hole or join a team to network with others. The golf tournament is a day of fun activities and events, on and off the course. Pope County Salute to Business & Industry This annual event honors a local business for the impact it has on the community. Battle of the Businesses Bowling Tournament Held in November, this event is a fun afternoon of bowling and networking! Minnewaska Dollars This check program is in place to encourage keeping
dollars local. Any Chamber member can accept
Minnewaska Dollars, which work just like cash.
The Glenwood Welcome Center and the Chamber of Commerce share a building.
The Welcome Center is a 501(c)(3) that strives to
market the Glenwood area as a year-round
destination area. It’s overall vision and mission have been to serve the public in a variety of ways,
and to showcase the Glenwood area lifestyle.
The Welcome Center offers an abundance of information for people visiting the area as well as for local residents, including:
• Local, regional and state maps • Trail maps • Lodging and dining information • Arts and entertainment activities • Business and personal services • Housing and real estate information • Medical and senior services • Education services • And more!

Welcome Center Events & Programs
Welcome Glenwood Program Meet us for a short visit and receive a packet of information and a gift bag to take home—our way to make those new to the community feel welcome, and be the best resource we can! Easter Egg Hunt at Barsness Park A free activity for families and kids of all ages! Our friendly Easter Bunny will also make an appearance. Kids Day This free, family event takes place each June. Activities include fishing, boat & water safety, bike obstacle course and more! Music in the Park A free summer concert series held each year at the Glenwood City Park. Pope County Farmers Market Held each summer June through October. Buy fresh from local Minnesota farmers and growers. Magical Christmas in Glenwood Events held Thursdays in December, include a lighted
parade, free community supper, family night at the
Welcome Center and a living Nativity.

Chamber Member Benefit: FREE rental Non-Members: $100.00 per day/$50.00 per half day Reservations can be made on our website, or by calling the Chamber & Welcome Center. Barricade Rental is also available for $10.00/day
