JNN Group’s remote data collection service is a managed defensible, scalable and affordable service for your ESI assessment and collection needs. Our platform gives us the ability to target entire computers drives, networks shares, email accounts, or just specific files guided by your criteria.

Our data collections engagements follow a simple three-step process to ensure a successful project:

Step 1: We review your project requirements and determine the project scope and objectives. A follow-up interview with the technical staff and/or data custodians’ onsite to validate the on-the-ground technical requirements and formulate a collection and preservation proposal that will meet the objectives set for your project.

Step 2: Once the project requirements are confirmed, we ship the media to the various collection points if needed and schedule the collections. When appropriate, emails and calendar notifications are also sent the data custodians or the onsite contact with the collection schedule.

Step 3: After the collection is completed, a post collection follow-up meeting is set to review our reports, finalize data transfers and complete the chain of custody.

1) SCALABLE INFRASTRUCTURE: We leverage the power of a private cloud infrastructure to perform our data collections operations. JNN GROUP can collect data across different computing platforms and hundreds of target machines simultaneously. The data collected can be uploaded directly into our private cloud storage or saved to a local hard drive tethered to your system. We will ask for your preference at the onset of the project and ship the required media to the various collection points.

2) SECURE INFRASTRUCTURE: Our remote data collections are performed via hardened, encrypted data connections. Our technicians remotely connect to the target machines through a secure tunnel controlled and managed by JNN Group. At the beginning of the process, clients receive a special link via email, so that they can personally enter their login credentials to the system being collected. Our technicians are never given your password information and their access to your systems is severed at once the data collection project is complete. At the end of the assignment, all access to your emails or computer systems are severed. 3) TRAINED PROFESSIONALS: All data collections are performed by digital forensics. Our technicians are trained and certified to perform data collections. They are also able to provide expert testimony and declarations, if needed regarding our data collection practices and processes.

4) DOCUMENTED PROCEDURES: We provide detailed documentation for each data collection project including the chain of custody, system information, and custodian data report for each data collection project. Our reports entries are explained to the client during the post-collection meeting.

5) NO GEOGRAPHIC RESTRICTION: Our managed remote data collection model removes the geographic restrictions of traditional data collection methods.
