8 day Holy Land Pilgrimage to JERUSALEM

DAY 1: Wednesday 11/07/18 ATHENS-TEL AVIV- NAZARETH

We meet at Athens, Greece Airport, for our early morning flight to Tel Aviv, Jerusalem. When we arrive in Tel Aviv our coach takes us to Nazareth, where we will visit the Church of the Annunciation in Nazareth, as well as Cana of Galilee, where our Lord elevated marriage to a Holy Sacrament and performed His first miracle (changing water to wine) at the wedding banquet.

DAY 2: Thursday 12/07/18 TIBERIAS-MOUNT TABOR-CAPERNAUM

Morning Divine Liturgy (Feast of Sts. Peter and Paul on the Old Calendar) at the Holy Monastery of the Holy Apostles. We will then visit the Church of the Holy Transfiguration of our Lord situated on Mount Tabor, and continue our tour with a visit to the Holy Monastery of the Twelve Apostles in the city of Tiberias and the Church of the Seven Apostles in the ruins of Capernaum (where the majority of the Lord’s miracles took place and where He called his first disciples).

DAY 3: Friday 13/07/18 TIBERIAS-JERICHO-JERUSALEM

After breakfast we will proceed to Jericho to visit the Holy Monastery of the Prophet Elisha, with Sycamore tree that Zacchaeus climbed, and the Mount Sarantario (The mount of Temptation). We continue our journey to the monastery of St. Gerasimos the Jordanite. Here we will see where the Lord's Baptism in the Jordan River really took place and celebrate an Agiasmos (Great Blessing of the Waters). We continue our journey to the Holy Monastery of St. Martha and the Virgin Mary in Bethany.

DAY 4: Saturday 14/07/18 JERUSALEM

After breakfast we will visit the Old City of Jerusalem, starting from the Gate of Lions, the House of Sts. Joachim and Anna, the Prison of the Holy Apostle Peter and the Praetorium. We will then cross the Road of Martyrdom (Via Dolorosa) and arrive at the Church of the Resurrection (Holy Sepulchre), where the reverential veneration of Golgotha (the place of the Crucifixion), Apokathelosis (Taking down from the Cross) and the Life-giving Tomb of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Late at night a Divine Liturgy at the Holy and Life Giving Tomb of our Lord.

DAY 5: Sunday 15/07/18 JERUSALEM

After breakfast we will visit the Garden of Gethsemane, the Tomb of the Virgin Mary, the place of Judas' betrayal of and stoning of St. Stephen, took place. We will visit Mount Zion, the Patriarchal Orthodox Theological School of Jerusalem, King David’s

Tomb, the Room of the Mystical Supper and the house of St. John the Theologian (where the Dormition of the Virgin Mary took place), the Mount of Olives (the place of the Holy Ascension of Jesus). Our tour continues with the Holy Monastery of the Holy Cross, Ain Karem (the birthplace of St. John the Baptist and Katamon with the Tomb of St. Symeon).

DAY 6: Monday 16/07/18 BETHLEHEM

Tour to the Grotto (Cave) of the Nativity of our Lord in the Basilica of Bethlehem, the Shepherd’s Fields, the Holy Monastery of St. Theodosios Cenobiarch and the Cave of the Three Wise Men. Following this a visit by taxi to the Holy Monastery of St. Sabbas the Sanctified.

DAY 7: Tuesday 17/07/18 JERUSALEM

We will visit the Patriarchate of Jerusalem and be hosted by the Patriarch of Jerusalem His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III. Following our time with the Patriarch we will have free time for shopping and sight- seeing in the Old City of Jerusalem.

DAY 8: Wednesday 18/07/18 JERUSALEM-TEL AVIV-ATHENS

After breakfast, we will visit the Holy Monastery of the Holy Archangels in Jaffa and have a panoramic tour of Tel Aviv. We will depart for Lydda where we will visit the tomb of St. George the Great Martyr. We will then proceed to the airport for our late departure to Athens, Greece.

1η Ημέρα Τετάρτη 11/07/18 ΑΘΗΝΑ-ΤΕΛ ΑΒΙΒ- ΝΑΖΑΡΕΤ

Πτήση από Αθήνα προς Τελ Αβίβ. θα επισκεφθούμε τη Ναζαρέτ και την Κανά της

Γαλιλαίας (τόπος όπου πραγματοποιήθηκε το πρώτο Θαύμα του Κυρίου, της

μετατροπής του ύδατος εις οίνον).

2η Ημέρα Πέμπτη 12/07/18 ΤΙΒΕΡΙΑΔΑ- ΘΑΒΩΡ- ΚΑΠΕΡΝΑΟΥΜ

Πρωινή Θεία Λειτουργία στον Ι.Ν. Αγ. Αποστόλων. θα επισκεφθούμε την Ιερά Μονή

της Μεταμορφώσεως του Σωτήρος στο Όρος Θαβώρ, τον Ιερό Ναό του

Ευαγγελισμού της Θεοτόκου, την αρχαία Καπερναούμ (όπου πραγματοποιήθηκαν

τα περισσότερα των θαυμάτων του Κυρίου και κάλεσε τους μαθητές Του στο

Αποστολικό Αξίωμα)

3η Ημέρα Παρασκευή 13/07/18 ΤΙΒΕΡΙΑΔΑ- ΙΕΡΙΧΩ - ΙΕΡΟΣΟΛΥΜΑ

θα επισκεφθούμε την Ιερά Μονή του Προφήτου Ελισσαίου (όπου βρίσκεται η

Συκομωρέα που ανέβηκε ο Ζακχαίος) και το Σαραντάριο Όρος, την Ιερά Μονή του

Αγίου Γερασίμου του Ιορδανίτου, θα δούμε το πραγματικό σημείο της Βαπτίσεως

του Κυρίου στον Ιορδάνη Ποταμό, όπου θα πραγματοποιηθεί Βάπτιση. θα

επισκεφτούμε την Ιερά Μονή Μάρθας και Μαρίας στην Βηθανία.

4η Ημέρα Σάββατο 14/07/18 ΙΕΡΟΣΟΛΥΜΑ

θα γνωρίσουμε τα προσκυνήματα της Παλαιάς Πόλεως των Ιεροσολύμων,

ξεκινώντας από την Πύλη των Λεόντων τον οίκο Αγ. Ιωακείμ και Άννης, τη

Προβατική κολυμβήθρα, τη φυλακή του Αποστόλου Πέτρου και το Πραιτώριο. θα

διασχίσουμε την Οδό του Μαρτυρίου και θα φτάσουμε στο Πανίερο Ναό της

Αναστάσεως, όπου θα πραγματοποιηθεί ευλαβικό προσκύνημα στο Φρικτό

Γολγοθά, στην Ιερή Αποκαθήλωση, στο Πανάγιο και Ζωοδόχο Τάφο του Κυρίου

μας. Το βράδυ, για όσους επιθυμούν, θα συμμετάσχουμε σε νυχτερινή Θεία

Λειτουργία στον Πανάγιο και Ζωοδόχο Τάφο του Κυρίου .

5η Ημέρα Κυριακή 15/07/18 ΙΕΡΟΣΟΛΥΜΑ

θα επισκεφθούμε την Γεθσημανή όπου βρίσκεται ο Τάφος της Παναγίας, την Αγία

Σιών όπου βρίσκεται η Πατριαρχική Σχολή, ο Τάφος του Δαυίδ, το Υπερώο και το

σπίτι του Αγίου Ιωάννου του Θεολόγου και το Όρος των Ελαιών . θα επισκεφθούμε

την Ιερά Μονή Τιμίου Σταυρού, την Ορεινή, το Καταμόνας (όπου βρίσκεται ο Τάφος

του Αγίου Συμεών).

6η Ημέρα Δευτέρα 16/07/18 ΒΗΘΛΕΕΜ

θα επισκεφτούμε το Σπήλαιο της Γεννήσεως του Κυρίου μας στην Βασιλική της

Βηθλεέμ. θα μεταβούμε στο χωριό των Ποιμένων, την Ιερά Μονή του Αγ. Θεοδοσίου

του Κοινοβιάρχου (όπου βρίσκεται το Ιερό Σπήλαιο των Τριών Μάγων) και θα

ακολουθήσει επίσκεψη με ταξί στην Ι. Μονή του Αγ. Σάββα του Ηγιασμένου.

7η Ημέρα Τρίτη 17/07/18 IΕΡΟΣΟΛΥΜΑ

θα πραγματοποιηθεί επίσκεψη στο Πατριαρχείο και συνάντηση με την Α.Θ.Μ.

Πατριάρχη Ιεροσολύμων κ.κ. Θεόφιλο. θα υπάρχει ελεύθερος χρόνος στην Παλαιά

Πόλη των Ιεροσολύμων για προσκύνημα και αγορές, καθώς και περιήγηση σε

διάφορα μοναστήρια όπως η Ι.Μ. Σαϊδανάγιας, η Ι.Μ. Μεγάλης Παναγιάς κ.α.

8η Ημέρα Τρίτη 18/07/18 IΕΡΟΣΟΛΥΜΑ –ΤΕΛ ΑΒΙΒ- ΑΘΗΝΑ

θα επισκεφθούμε την Ιερά Μονή των Αγίων Αρχαγγέλων στην Παλαιά Ιόππη και θα

ακολουθήσει πανοραμικός γύρος του Τελ Αβίβ. θα προσκυνήσουμε τον Τάφο του

Μεγαλομάρτυρος Αγίου Γεωργίου στην Λύδδα. Πτήση από το Τελ Αβίβ στην Αθήνα.
